Is that the only statistic you are going off ? Coaches votes ? Any actual dataGood to see you changed it.
So if you want to go back to 2022, when Cripps had 86 votes and Daicos 30, Cripps outpolls Daicos by 19 votes over the three seasons:
- Daicos' first three years as an AFL player
- Cripps' best three year period in his career, at his peak where he won a Brownlow and is favourite for a second.
Does that make you feel better?
Or would you like me to go back 4 or 5 years?
You asked for data, and despite there being an abundance of 'data' in this thread, Gone Critical mentioned Brownlow votes, and I've provided Coaches votes - which is indeed 'data'.Is that the only statistic you are going off ? Coaches votes ? Any actual data

OMFG.Votes are opinion, not data
OMFG.
Votes from the people who know the most about the game, and watch the game closer than anyone, are merely opinion....
Not exactly data though is it ? Anything statistical , or just the rolling AFL coaches votesYou asked for data, and despite there being an abundance of 'data' in this thread, Gone Critical mentioned Brownlow votes, and I've provided Coaches votes - which is indeed 'data'.
More data...
Coaches votes over past two seasons:
1. Daicos - 183
2. Bontempelli - 176
3. Serong - 167
4. Gulden - 166
5. Butters - 162
5. Neale - 162
7. Merrett - 146
7. Cripps - 146
You asked for data you got it. There is no better data available. It just shouldn't be in question that he is very close to the best performed player of the last 2 seasons. He will end up with close to top of all awards, almost certainly 2x AA, almost certainly a B&F and 2nd in B&F (would have won 2023 except for missing last 3 games). Top 3 NS. premiership player.Selective stats. Love it.
Cripps got heaps in 2022
What 'statistics' would be more meaningful than the assessment of the people (coaches) who know the most about the game, and watch the game closer than anyone? Not exactly data though is it ? Anything statistical , or just the rolling AFL coaches votes
lat 2 months he has had games with 9,8,7,8,2 votes in the coaches award so that claim seems doubtful. 3 weeks ago he was Brownlow fav and has dropped off and had an off 3. Happens to all players. Just looked at Heeneys 4 weeks prior to the susp has a 3 and a 4 in the AFLCA. They will both still be very high in either awards but have dropped from being the 2 favs.
P.S even though he has dropped off in the last 3 weeks he has still been Collingwoods best player through those weeks. He would have probably gone further ahead in our B&F through those games. Year 3 player drops off for a few weeks but still teams best player, not all doom and gloom.
And you've already been told, in this very thread, that the possible variation in votes given to Cripps by Voss is significantly greater than the possible variation in votes given to Daicos by McRae.We know how much McRae loves him.
Only gave Ginnivan 3 votes on Saturday too.
Plays favourites and bares a grudge. How old school of him.
How do you know McRae only gave Ginnivan 3 votes on Saturday? We know how much McRae loves him.

OMG of all the really bad arguments in this thread this is the worst. McRae manipulates votesWe know how much McRae loves him.

Posted too late. Fadge on the moneyOMG of all the really bad arguments in this thread this is the worst. McRae manipulates votes
What we can glean from the coaches votes
Sicily got 5 from 1 coach
Moore got 3 from 1 coach
Nash got 2 from both coaches
D'Ambrosio got 1 from 1 coach
Impey got 1 from 1 coach
McDonald got votes from both coaches, either 4,4 or 5,3
Ginnivan got votes from both coaches , either 4,4 or 5,3
Thats all you can know. 50:50 that Ginny got 4 from each yet you go tin hat
If you had any question to ask you would say its interesting one coach gave Sicily 5 and the other none. But that doesnt fit your conspiracy.
Yes, by definition they are opinions.OMFG.
Votes from the people who know the most about the game, and watch the game closer than anyone, are merely opinion.... (in your opinion)
No, I'm actually arguing the claim that he currently is the best according to your mate. You cant really argue against the data saying he is very close to the best of the last 2 years.
So people would prefer to see 'statistics' to support a comment that Player A is the best player (or one of the best players) in the competition, as opposed to assessments from the people who know the most about the game, and watch the game closer than anyone?Yes, by definition they are opinions.
Use your 'statistics' to prove that he isn't...No, I'm actually arguing the claim that he currently is the best according to your mate.
I'm refuting that claim
Use your statistics to prove that he is the best coz what you've rehashed doesn't put him in the greatest category particularly this season.Use your 'statistics' to prove that he isn't...
And be sure to understand the statistics you're using to support your claim this time.
No no, let's take the opinion of an umpire, in fact 4 of them, rather than statistical analysisSo people would prefer to see 'statistics' to support a comment that Player A is the best player (or one of the best players) in the competition, as opposed to assessments from the people who know the most about the game, and watch the game closer than anyone?
'Show your data to prove it!'Use your statistics to prove that he is the best coz what you've rehashed doesn't put him in the greatest category particularly this season.
Shall I bring out the AFL coaches award rolling votes for this year? What you consider appropriate data to support your extremely weak argument to try and validate daicos being the best current player in the game as we speak ....'Show your data to prove it!'
[Data shared to support the claim]
'I meant statistics' (even though the data shared was the most appropriate data available)

More than the 4 weeks you're proposing....Shall I bring out the AFL coaches award rolling votes for this year? What you consider appropriate data to support your extremely weak argument to try and validate daicos being the best current player in the game as we speak ....
