Gone Critical

I can what you are thinking but this thread has got bogged down on meaningless detail, such as arguing stats about 2 of the best players in the comp in Gulden and Daicos. No it isn't. If Collingwood fans just settled with "he is a very good player" no one would have a problem with it, but this thread is "Can he be the greatest of all time" which is a completely different and much higher standard. If you set the standard that high then you can criticise a player much more than if you say said player is just a very good player.
This thread was started after Daicos's 1st 2 seasons were pretty much off the charts good. Looking at various objective measures its arguable no one has been as good in their 1st 2 seasons. Certainly he is a long way ahead of where all the other modern day great mids were after 2 seasons.
So the question was are we seeing the start of a career that has been so excellent can it translate into GOAT status in a decade or more time. "Can he be the GOAT". He is not the best player going around currently for mine but he is in the argument and his 3rd season has only strengthened the reasons you might discuss him as a future GOAT. Its a reasonable speculation.
End of season 3 he ends up
2XAA
1x AFLCA 1st, 1x 3rd
1x Brownlow 3rd, likely another top 3 finish, maybe a win.
After season 3 will likelybe the only player ever, apart from Haydyn Bunton, averaging 1 brownlow vote of better per game
2nd Coll B&F in a flag year, would have won except for injury
Likely B&F winner 2024
3rd Norm Smith as a second year after coming back early from a cracked tibia.
If he repeats this on a 3 year cycle say through the next 12 years for a 15 year career then he may not be GOAT but he will be the most decorated player in the history of the game easily.
