His job as a footballer is to contest, not run around the back for cheap stats.

20m sideways crab kicks are not elite.

People need to take the blinkers off. He is a liability in the contest and has no hurt factor with the ball.

If kick outs didn’t exist would be lucky to get it 10 times a game.

Yeah let’s target a first year player for all our angst after our loss.
He’s job isn’t there to sit under a high ball and cop 4 knees in the back of the head - he does that and he won’t play most weeks because of injury.
He does his job - others around him are the problem , you know the leaders of the club.

The absolutely bottom line is that across the board, this team does not execute the basics of the sport, or choose the correct option often enough to win games of football.

You can have all the tactics and structure you want, but if you can’t execute the fundamentals, you’re going to suck.

It’s made worse by having two captains who are serial offenders, often under no pressure. One of them in the defensive part of the field.

It’s a disaster.

Won clearances and contested ball easily and won the inside 50s 59-42.

We have too many unskilled players by foot including those who kick long every time. Too much blind kicking and not enough composure.

If we keep carrying so many limited footballers on the list with ball in hand, we won't improve much. Must bring in more class via the draft to add to Sheezel.

It not targeting. It’s calling out a big problem in this club.

More interested in cheap stats than impact on the contest.

If his job is to run around the back and chip it 20 meters to a player that gets held up, then he is doing it perfectly.

To many that look at stats and forget game impact.

Biggest difference is our inside 50s compared to the opposition.

We kick ours to packs - whole the opposition has a forward line open af.
Is it our decision making or our forwards that don’t provide proper leads - lead and get out of the ****en way

Hilarious.

Give this group another pre-season, a little more talent influx and we have an experience today that will lead to a win next year when it counts.

They’ll learn how to put a team away and how to hold a game by using this as a teaching point.

Almost better than a win because that would have glossed over some of the glaring issues from the way we went about the last quarter and a half.

Has zero impact on where we are headed, we dominated them just got lazy at the front of the stoppage and defending.

We will learn.

To think that half way through the third WC still had just 3 goals on the board (two of which were the first two goals of the game) yet ended up kicking a 100 is nothing short of bizarre

Clarko is almost 2 years into his 5 year deal.
The ladder suggests zero improvement in that time. And his game-day coaching has been underwhelming to say the least. I am so intrigued as to whether he has an almighty rabbit to pull out of the hat over the next 3 years, or will we still be in this position in 12-24 months being told to "be patient" as we set the bar lower and lower, accepting a competitive half here and there as a raging success confirming we are "on the right track"?

Yep.

Year 3 is make or break.

No honeymoon period anymore for Clarko. No nice guy.

It has to be a great leap forward type year.

Kerch is the least of our problems. He is being asked to play an outside role in the back half and he is playing the role as good as possible.

The kid nearly had 700m gained, the most (by far) out of anyone on the field. So to say he is just kicking 20m side passes is a complete load of shit.

The Toby pink turnover late will piss me off all week

The McDonald out on the full with no pressure in the 3rd when we had all the momentum was far far worse. That kick single handedly handed WC the momentum.
