“HORROR SESSION”: HAWKS LOSE ANOTHER IN INTRA-CLUB AS KEY DEFENDER GOES DOWN WITH KNEE

Hawks have listed Ethan Phillips as SSP. Be interesting to see how he goes. Armchair recruiters who would have picked him 2 years ago v actual recruiters who have overlooked him a few years straight when a lot of teams in the comp are crying out for key defenders.

I think the scale is a little different.

Abusing women is in a different conversation to a player having a few disco biscuits
Whats the penalty for smoking joints? Especially since thats slowly legalising around the world and eventually will in Australia as well.

Meanwhile beating women will never be acceptable.

I believe there should be no tolerance for abuse of women, and also believe there should be no tolerance for drugs in sport.

I get they're different subjects, but see a similarity in the belief that both should have zero tolerance.

I would also say that naming every footy player caught with drugs will just make drugs cooler.

That doesn't seem to happen when other athletes around the world are named?

Such athletes are named as soon as the allegation is made, but the AFL doesn't treat it as seriously or sincerely imo.

I'm not sure how Fyfe best danger, nor how Dusty beat the near-superhuman GCS version of Gary Ablett, able to single handedly field an afl side
Pretty much this. Dangers 2016 season was extraordinary.
His 2017 season was just as good and if not for that ridiculous suspension for a tackle on Kreuzer, he would have back to back brownlows.

Nope, beating or intimidating women will never be acceptable, but then I don't believe the mere act of legalisation makes the use of drugs acceptable either. Just me.
