This is again a brilliant game. Both teams predicted to go deep in September, and we have seen a bit of the best of both teams. Reversal of their prelim final?

Wasn't keeping tabs on the how because I'm working on other stuff but Curnow seemed to spark a couple of goals. Like they just rocked up to the ground late
Was more that the midfield got on top and Curnow finished the good work off, towards the end of the 2nd quarter the mids got moving but the Blues forwards like McKay couldn't kick straight.

The hungry hyenas of the African savvanah could not, in their wildest dreams, hope to encounter a softer underbelly than that of the Brisbane Lion. Softer than a banana paddlepop left in the heat of the midday sun in the Queen St mall.

Seen a few Brissie fans feeling they got cheated and yet just watching the last 2 mins and Charlie Cameron is tackled and just puts the ball on the ground for Neale and its not a free kick.

Sucked in Brissie.

So far ..the AFL would be happy with the Northern Exposure anti Vegas gamble. If the attendance for game 3 and game 4 stacks up then this will be locked in for future fixtures.

Joels special comments was a bit similar to how he played. Not a lot of waffle but to the point and direct. He seems good at noticing moments that could be or might be influential. Stuff like talking to your ruckman about the next bounce or Holland missed that ball that he needed to take. Would it surprse if he ended up a coach? Probably not but for the moment , he is probably enjoying the cream and the internal pressure cooker of a competitive position.
