If the Blues Brothers theme persists in the crowd I'll start a petition for all Blues games to be non-televised.

Well this is a tale of two halves
Wasn't keeping tabs on the how because I'm working on other stuff but Curnow seemed to spark a couple of goals. Like they just rocked up to the ground lateStopped watching at quarter time. What changed?
Was more that the midfield got on top and Curnow finished the good work off, towards the end of the 2nd quarter the mids got moving but the Blues forwards like McKay couldn't kick straight.Wasn't keeping tabs on the how because I'm working on other stuff but Curnow seemed to spark a couple of goals. Feel like Joel has improved a lot on commentary from what I remember.
The hungry hyenas of the African savvanah could not, in their wildest dreams, hope to encounter a softer underbelly than that of the Brisbane Lion. Softer than a banana paddlepop left in the heat of the midday sun in the Queen St mall.
Not what Brisbane fans would want to hear

You're right that is weirdly familiarInjury issues, short pre-season after a grand final, bad fadeout in round 1 (sound familiar?). Next up Freo away, then Collingwood at home. Could be 0-3 and it's tough from there...
Whatever gets Richmond vs Carlton off the main stageSo far ..the AFL would be happy with the Northern Exposure anti Vegas gamble. If the attendance for game 3 and game 4 stacks up then this will be locked in for future fixtures.
Joels special comments was a bit similar to how he played. Not a lot of waffle but to the point and direct. He seems good at noticing moments that could be or might be influential. Stuff like talking to your ruckman about the next bounce or Holland missed that ball that he needed to take. Would it surprse if he ended up a coach? Probably not but for the moment , he is probably enjoying the cream and the internal pressure cooker of a competitive position.
Has the NRL's venture to Vegas been a hit or miss?So far ..the AFL would be happy with the Northern Exposure anti Vegas gamble.
