Gibbs has always been a gun. However he is finally playing in a team with structure where he can excel.

Let's not forget he was B&F in 2014 and suffered injury setbacks in 2015 that ruined his season.

The change over the past 12 months is remarkable. I haven't been this proud in years. Gibbs and Docherty were mint, but it was just a quality all-round effort for 4 quarters, even with the injuries. That's the best thing, our depth/fringe/whipping boy type players were even playing with such confidence as to be spinning out of tackles and running off (Lol White) and do all the team things... we weren't relying on the few big stars. True team effort.

I agree, but lately it's like he's possessed, effort in general has gone up a level IMO but for sure, a proper system and coach can help all that come together.

Typical Cripps, even when you think he's had an ordinary game, he has 29 disposals, 8 tackles. Only 3 clearances which is really low by his standard but that shows how bloody good the others were at picking up the slack.

Geez not only are we disciplined adhering to a good game plan but this is also the toughest side we have had for a looooong time

We got rid of all the soft players the last few years

We are led by a group of hard arses - Kreuzer, Cripps, Curnow and now Gibbs !!!!

And what we are finding is all the other players are following

If you don't put your head over it you won't play
