Meh I watched every second, because I was sitting at the Dom Sheed End for the 2018 GF. Five years later, I'll drink catastrophic amounts of homebrew while watching him squib it up in an all-time awful team because that's what makes the good times even sweeter.

I honestly think we've got many pieces of our next great side in place. Ginbey, Long, Bazzo, Hewett and Hough are all class and will be great, but they're utterly ill-equipped to deal with the shambles around them right now. We just need to sack the hell out of Simmo and Nesbitt, draft Reid, and reload. This is genuinely ******* bleak right now though.
Meh 😜 I was at the 05, 06 and 15 GF's and should have been at 18 until I snapped both bones in my arm and dislocated my elbow on the Tuesday before the game and was unable to fly over. I would have sat right behind his kick also. Honestly after that, my perception of what really matters changed.

Funnily enough I was doing a BJCP judging tasting exam today, then went to our brew clubs American BBQ and beers event. The exam went well, the brews were very tasty and the brisket was so so good... and I didn't have to watch that pathetic excuse for a West Coast Eagles team attempt to play football! Great weekend so far 🍻 Check out Northern Brewers Homebrew Club if your NOR, which like any good Eagle supporter you should be!

Ooooo Simmo not happy and is a spicy boy after that last question in the presser.

Good on Duffield (I think) for asking, and then for persisting with it when Simpson tried to brush it off.

"Well..you talk about getting players back, you had your senior players in the middle in the first quarter and they failed to stand up, how do you address that...?"

Bang on.

Hang on, are you being emotional about a loss?
My farm is calm.

Just noticed today that Chesser is as soft as butter. And Sheed? Folded like a deck chair.

Just to put this in perspective: That's the worst loss from any team that I can remember (i vaguely remember the Lions getting done by a similar margin in the 80's but can't remember enouh to compare). We're the worst side I can remember.

But I'm pretty calm about it.

Forgive the intrusion folks.

As a Blues supporter, I'd happily have won a flag 5 years ago and been where you are right now. We have been there without any success to hang our hat on for a long long time.

This is where you go from revelling in good games, to appreciating good quarters, and then good passages of play.

Seeing a young player show some vision and skill. You just reset your parameters for a while.

However, you don't want players to leave so you will want to see a circuit breaker to make the pain worthwhile. There will have to be a cleanout of sorts to give hope.

I think appealing to WA boys to come home is a good strategy.

At least you know exactly where you are. Your Freo rivals are kind of middling at the moment and won't have the opportunity you have to address it in the draft.

You will be back much sooner than some clubs make it back.

What to say about that.

The club had the bye, yet the team was cooked in less than 5 minutes minutes of play.

No running, no chasing, no tackling, no shepherding and execution of decisions and disposal was diabolical.

This was against a Sydney team that did not have the additional rest of the bye, and had won just 3 of their last 11 coming into this match.

And yet here we are. Officially the worst loss in club history. 171 points.

This is not a singular aberration.

The previous match against Adelaide was 122 points.

This is winning just 3 from the last 40 matches.

This 12 consecutive losses, each of them by 40+ points.

This is 4 of the last 8 matches with a losing margin of 100+ points.

It's been 12 years since any AFL match featured a 200+ score.

Yet it was the hubris of ineptitude and incompetence that pervades the club like a growing, necrotising cancer over the past four years that has led to this result.

We've all been exceptionally patient, considering the success we have come to expect and the tripe that has been served up recently - both on and off the field.

But today is simply a bridge too far. Weasel words won't be tolerated through gritted teeth anymore.

Change is what is demanded.

So is the player you are referring to start with an M and end with a McGovern? Lol

Wasn't Duff, think it was one of the Afl.com guys but yeah, he didn't like it at all

I never thought I’d say this.

This playing group do not care.

They knew what was on the line after the Crows game, they knew we needed to see they care. All the senior boys in the team…. They don’t care. So why should I?

I can handle losing, I expect losses and even heavy ones but at least I can hold my head high if they try, if the effort is there.

Never been more embarrassed by this football club than today.
Season not over yet...more embarrassing moments to come with this lot

How did Hewett and Maric look today?

Hewett had moments, moves very well amd gets in the right spots, but had a couple of errors that directly resulted in goals. With a bigger body he breaks through the tackles that caused the errors. Maric unsighted but expected in our fwd line
