How good is a Friday win!!! Now I can comfortably sit and listen/watch all footy content for the week.
The resilience and belief this list is building is as important as any on field metric. Our recent results and the manner in which they’ve been achieved are a testament to that.
Whimmy wham wham wozzle
How good was Darcy Parish last night? Stood up in some huge moments and his skills by hand and foot are crazy good. Was that a breakout game for him or have I just not been watching enough of him this year?
Also what’s his contract status? Asking for a friend
Good for you guys. 17 other teams would give an arm and/or a leg for himAbout to sign a 2 year deal hasn't been officially announced yet
Firstly, I make no apologies for the intrusion.
Secondly, I’d personally like to thank you for your teams performance last evening.
Thirdly, before you castigate me in any way, I’ll have you know that I should most likely be a Dons supporter, as my grandfather on my mother’s side, was born in Moonee Ponds and I was the Eulogy man at his funeral whilst he lay in his casket, adorned in his Bombers Bomber jacket and scarf.
To him, The Essendon Football Club never ever once lost a game of footy, to him, there were always mitigating circumstances that lead to the final outcome that were “very very dubious boy”.
Also, his brother, Jock Hilton, played in the red sash and black, not sure how many games he played, nor how good he was, (I keep telling myself to dig into the archives not the least for my daughters love of playing the game and knowing this oval ball is truly in her blood) but he was the apple of my grandpappy’s eyes.
So, personal histrionics aside, thanks for the upgrade on our downgrade of Adelaides first round pick, I owe ya’s one.
Keep in mind that my last statement was a rhetorical one, cheers cc.
Coming from you DJ, I’ll take that all the way to the money loaners! You crazy bastard
I strongly suspect that Wayne Carey takes Essendon winning personally.
I know we got smashed in the clearances but do we consider not bringing Clarke back (as good as he was last week). Hartley looked so assured down back. Ambrose takes the best forward. Francis gets across for cover and plays intercept role. Hooker gives us a target up forward and Brown works hard between the arcs and is a beautiful kick for goal. Laverde and Stringer the 3rd mobile forward.
Bellchambers has not even commenced running from his calf injury 3 weeks ago. That’s slightly concerning, especially when we know how long it takes him to get going. He’s probably another 4-5 weeks away from full fitness.
In what way? Everytime I hear him he seems to enjoy our brand of footy, when we play to our potential that is.
I plan on boarding my flight to the GC next week with the biggest s**t-eating grin on my face.
U are evil braI have no voice left. What a win. I said at half time to my uncle that we are in this. Amazing how much negative talk there was from crows fans when things started to go south. The ladies behind us deliberately clapping in our ears didn't last long. Watching them leave early was glorious too.
ya DP fitz the msgI'm feeling confident that our run & gun style is looking more & more complimentary to our developing structures, system & scheme, rather than being heavily dependent on them.
It's becoming less helter skelter & more methodical as part of the overall gameplan, an attribute rather than an identity.
However, the sample size is still small & hopefully this isn't just another false dawn.
