We were getting killed in the clearances in the first half. Stringer started in the centre square and by pure strength wins the first two. His contest work is so underrated somehow still.

I think he’d have almost of the highest ratio of clearances won per clearances attended in the competition.

Take this team back to the start of the season and we would have won a few more games, Saints -11pts, Pies -4pts, Sydney -5pts. We could be sitting clear 2nd or equal 1st right now. Maybe we are sitting pretty going into the later part of the season still as underdogs playing for something.

Sounds like I missed an absolute belter.

2nd half is well worth a watch.

Would love to know what clicked for Francis last night. He hasn't looked particularly good throughout most of 2019 after a very good end to 18, but last night he was reading the ball beautifully, working hard to be the 3rd player at a contest and pushing p the ground to be an option. Just one of those games, or is it a case that he defers to Hurley normally to do a lot of that work?

Was thinking this. If the Collingwood and Sydney games were umpired correctly, imagine where we'd be...

On the flip side imagine if the GWS and 2nd Sydney game were.
C'mon man don't bring me down, I don't need this devil's advocate bit when I'm trying to celebrate.

You're right, but still

I mean I've said the same thing as you.

But we've had the rub in close ones too, swings and roundabouts.

Mitch Brown made me eat crow.

Can't believe its taken this long for Hartley to play this year.

He was never going to get in over a fit hurleymand hooker but agree he was brilliant tonight.

Do we have this form without the lessons learned early in the year?
That's why you can't take a form team and place them in a moment in time. There is a reason they are a form team, and it's due to what they had to go through to get there.

It's boring but there is a reason why clubs and especially our coach focus on the process. This is the result, we are seeing this team adapt to the system that we have been trying to implement.

People have been crying out for it, where is this system why can't we be like a hawks or a tigers and just slot players in and out. We are seeing that. We have been as injured as anyone, lost hugely important players. Hartley comes in plays a role, McKernan plays a role, Snelling, Zac Clarke. We are covering the injuries and continuing to improve we aren't just treading water waiting for players to get fit or come in.

It's great to see.

Went over for the game. What great support we have over there. Seemed like about 1 in 5 people were bombers. Walking out after the game and high fiving literally every bomber fan was special. And having furphys on tap was a massive highlight.
Would have been a great win to see. Are you going to GC for the game?

Just got back into phone reception range and checked the scores!! He'll yes!!
No time to catchup on the details of the win got a 4 hour drive home but looking forward to finding out when I get home.
What a feeling to watch the AFL app buffering slowly convinced of of a loss in my mind then nekminnit
