There was a bit that summed up Merrett's second half when Saad had the ball from a mark deep inside 50. We weren't properly set up for a switch and we didn't have options for the long ball down the line. Merrett pushed bloody hard to get past his marker for 30-40 metres to give Saad an option on the back flank so we didn't just waste the pill.

Thought his first half was ok but a bit underwhelming in some areas. But bloody hell his second was phenomenal.

Im reminded of 93 v hawks at Waverley, young side takes another scalp...Bruce says "you just get a feeling about a side sometimes don't you?" He was right

I can kinda feel it bubbling away now, we are ticking all the boxes you need to tick to become that momentum side that's hard to stop

Winning ugly tick
Winning from behind tick
Keeping structure tick
Winning when inj players out tick
Winning interstate ... tick
The final hurdle will be putting away poor teams ruthlessly. That's next week's test.
I'd add winning finals needing a tick too, but everything you said I agree with 100%

I'm usually an ultra-pessimist when watching games, but I was super calm during the last quarter. Could just tell we were going to get up, even when the Crows wrestled back the lead a couple of times. Goal kicking accuracy sublime (despite Zerrett's howler). Imperative we fill our boots against the Suns next week.

Said it at half time that were players that had poor halves and needed to reset.

Brown, Langford, McGrath and McKernan all seperated their halves and refocused.
Huge, absolutely huge from Brown, so happy he's getting back some form.

Stringer is having an amazing year.
Hep was huge in that second half, wouldn't be denied.
Hooker, I bloody love you. Just competes and gives us huge structure. Did what I said it would, it gives Tippa a reference point to work off.

You could see the team just lift as each player did something in the system. Just fed off itself.

Special shoutout to Shiel. Still offers us something others can't. Absolute pack busting run.
McKenna starting to get more recognition for how special a player he is.

Aaron Francis' first half was ******* special!!! Just kept leaving his man to help out, and killed that many dangerous contests... ******* wow

Low key flying under the radar I rekon. Has been huge.
The fitness I think has caught up and it's a credit to him. Now it will just be experience as he learns when to go and when to hold.

so, I had a sneaky look in the Adelaide autopsy thread...

lol. How obsessed is this Norf flog with us? His name rhymes with Bake Shaker.
Please tell me there is one norf fan telling them to get over it. I despise Collingwood but I don't let them rule my head the way Essendon rule these nuffs. It is absolutely embarrassing. They will never catch our 16 flags they will never catch our head to head record with them. They are shortening their lives with this obsession.

Wow...just wow.
I hate Adelaide and Sydney so much and we have beaten them in the last few weeks.
This would have to be one of the best wins given the team we had in this week.
Thanks bombers for making my weekend.
Suck a big fat on crows you hacks.

The skills were good hey
Best this year by a long long way! The quick hands in close all night was first class. Although I give 3 votes to Zerret, it was genuinely a team effort. Special mention to Hartley putting in effort in the ruck to beating his man (with great positioning) when in defence to Brown’s running that was rewarded with 4 goals (some games he doesn’t even need to kick a goal).

We dominated them at the spill of the ball I felt which gave me hope no matter from 5 goals down we could win.

Keep playing like that, the benchmark has been set.
