Thought Heppell was immense for the full four quarters. When everyone seemed flat and flustered, he was composed and showed great leadership. When he took that contested mark and got cleaned up afterwards, that turned the tide.

Draper was magnificent in the ruck. Didn’t win the hitouts but I thought he was great around the ground and provided a lot of toughness. Wright keeps impressing - probably one of his top performances of the year.

Stringer, what more can you really say. He was the difference. Perkins did some nice things. Can’t wait until he builds his tank and can put in four quarter performances. Quality debut from Durham - we might’ve found another little gem in the MSD.

Wasn’t pretty but we got the job done and sometimes that’s all that matters.

The grand delusions on the Norf board is great reading 😂. They actually think they have a great young list and will surpass us next year and our list is average😂😂.

They couldn't beat half a VFL team that didnt get out of second gear till the last quarter.

News flash Norf, when Aaron Hall is your highest ranked player, let me tell you, you aint goin anywhere fast. 😜

It was a definite danger game and it played out that way.

Our first half was arguably our worst half of the season. To kick 9.8 after Half Time (left a few more goals out there as well) and turn around that result is an indication of growing maturity across the list. All this whilst missing a significant number of first choice players who automatically improve our team when out there. They were missing one of their most important midfielders (Cunnington) but that was pretty close to their best team.

They may be bottom but their form in the last 5-6 weeks has been anything befitting the 18th team.

Happy to take the 4 points. Plenty to work on, of course. Even happier to beat them twice in the one season.

Would be interested to know how many goals Stringer has kicked in 2nd half vs 1st half this year. He hauled us back into it against Eagles with I think 3 in a row in 2nd half of that game. And 4 today. Probably more balanced against Hawkes.

For how poor we were for large parts, I thought that was probably Wright’s best game.

Stringer’s last quarter was immense.

Classic games for Parish, Merrett, Heppell and Ridley. Snelling also continues to show why he gets a game every week.

Durham good debut, missed goal aside.
