Pros
Our pressure after we went 25 points down in the second was elite for the rest of the game and we seemed to again play the game on our terms for the majority of the match which shows the game style and structures are still overall very strong. Our centre clearances and clearances in general were very good

Cons
Teams are aggressively attacking the corridor incessantly against us. Watch the replays throughout the year, oppos have obviously picked up on a perceived weakness and are building their game plans around it. The fact that we are the worst or one of the worst at copping scores per inside 50 shows our defensive setup around the ground needs to be tinkered with. It’s bc they come through the guts!!
Another frustrating thing is that we often seem to dominate large portions of the game and a very slight drop off or just a clumsy attempt or fumble or bad bounce in a contest which opens up a tiny opportunity seems to nearly always result in oppos scoring.

Gotta stop that - it’s exhausting dominating and not getting value and then the opposition skip up the other end and bang in cheapies against the run of play to stay in it.

Take the dub and move on, can’t be impressive every week

The Lynch push in the back where he took the mark? Umps have been allowing that all year as long as player marks or has a realistic attempt at a mark. Hawks took it the length of the field and scored - 12 point play. The free against Jack in which Shai then gave away 50? No issue with the 50 but that wasn’t a poor tackle. The Balta too low free? The Hawks player jumped up which compounded it and made it look low otherwise it was going to be shoulder on shoulder contact. And the Lynch free for dissent when the ball was out of bounds saying he was being held. I didn’t even know Umps paid frees for dissent thought it was only 50’s.
Shocking day at the office, cost us at least another 5-6 goal margin due to momentum shifts.
