I think you are missing the idea of the system. Should win is teams that are heavily invested in kids, or completely low on confidence.

50/50 is teams hunting for the same spots as us

Elite are the teams that clearly will be top 4.

Saying Freo who are 7-1 and looking every bit the young bolter liike Sydney last year & Port who have been a consistent top 4 team for the last 4 years and fighting back up in a similar way to us is a roughly 50/50 prospect is hardly worth arguing about.

I did this with you lot last year and heard the same shit - my estimate of 8th ended up being WAYYY higher than we ended. The argument of "injuries" is mute as we are only getting older. We have one of the oldest list in the league, so the variable of injuries is a higher risk for us than most. Older players are more likely to get injured is not even an argument.

OK so why don't you give me your idea of where we finish My guess is 7th.

Put your knackers on the line & you tell where we end up. If you all want to shoot your wad over 2 wins against teams that are playing 50% kids U23, then go for it. Until we start beating teams that actually a top 4 chance themselves (Carlton, Saints, Swans, Lions, Dee's, Cats, Freo, ), then i think its near impossible to finish above them. We have played 3 of the 7 already and are zero wins. Pretty much losing to 1 or 2 more of these and its over for top 4.
We have the Swans in 2 weeks so we will find out soon enough if its on or not. We lost to them and

The average age is irrelevant mate - Of course we are young as we recrtuited 7 kids last year - lol. The age that matters if that of the team you name each week..

Go work that out and come back to me. Pick out best 25 and work out the average, then do the same for the Dee's, Dockers, Lions, Swans, Saints, Blues & Cats. Only the Cats are gonna be close to us

I will help with giving you the 25 even

This is the same argument i made last year, for us to truely be a good team we need to get 3 or 4 of the older names on this list OUT and replaced with Stack, Dow, RCD, Mansell in to replace Tarrant, Edwards etc. When i say "replace" i clearly mean playing "worthy enough"
Why would you want answers from me? You seem to know everything.

Yep definitely the smartest guy in the room. The problem is that they're the only ones that think that. lol

I look forward to checking back in on this to see how badly you got things wrong. Jog on genius.

OUT: Biggy, Balta
IN: Gibcus, Miller

Rioli jnr was by far our worst player. 4 touches and 3 of them were clangers. He gets one more chance I guess but he's still super raw as a prospect. I honestly don't see him making it but people might disagree. People saying drop Castagna over him are having a lend

Well played :thumbsu:
Hope you all celebrated your win last night. Next goal is to lock in a top 4 spot where you can make a serious challenge.
Hope the list stays healthy and wish you all the best for the rest of the season.
I am a realist and top 4 is a bridge too far for Richmond in 2022 unfortunately
our losses to Adelaide & Carlton have cost us a top 4 this year

Melbourne
Brisbane
Fremantle

have the top 3 spots secured and 4th spot will be between Sydney & St Kilda

I must have been at a different game thought Soldo was good 3 goals KMac provided a lot of run but still does some dumb things Cotch was ok his disposal sometimes is piss poor
exactly, so we were watching the same game, what I'm saying is if we want to contest the premiership this year than I believe I'm spot on, a lot of our A-listers are well below their best to contest the flag. unless we get some mojo fast.

Gotta cut down slow not cold turkey ,,,tried once and felt shittttttt
haha I cut back by going weaker coffee felt cooked for 3 days now a bit better but want to cut back more

Yeah that's true. Makes me think we're more of a 5-8 side and a rung below the top 4 because we just can't control the game for a full 4 quarters like we used to. Well, the West Coast and GWS game aside.

I love how offensive we are though. The only time we scored more than our current 899 points in the first 9 rounds since 2013 was 2018.
agreed one big positive is how fast we move the ball from one end of the field to the other. although that didn't click for us as much VS the Hawks it has been something we've really been pushing. What concerned me is our lack of center square accountability during play. way too many times we were exposed there and we need to control that during play.
