End result is about what I expected before the game.

Disappointed with the first and last quarters, was good to see us not drop our bundle during the middle 2 quarters which we could have easily done and copped a right old 20 goal reaming.

Changes for next week are interesting. We have the VFL side in a do or die final and we can have the likes of Bauer Blight Coulthard & Trezise all eligible to play in that game and give them a good chance of progressing in the VFL finals or we keep say Bauer Blight & Trezise in the seniors and worry about VFL finals the week after should they beat Williamstown.

Personally I'd be picking our best possible 23 for the AFL game and be looking to win the game to finish the season on a positive.

Positives - we didn’t get beaten by 150 points like i thought was gonna happen after quarter time.
The leadership of our club off the field is concerning. Mathews isn’t the answer and neither is O’Roarke. Everything stems from that.
We aren’t a hungry club. We’re fat, sated, bloated and focused on stuff that isn’t important. The core business of the club is the male team. That’s it. We have lost focus.
Gale should of been removed a month ago and the members get a vote.
The only brick i am buying Richmond is the one i want to cram up your arse currently.

Imagine trying to out gun and run the Hawks as your Plan A.

Sam Mitchell saw what side Clarkson built in the 2010s and replicated it. He gutted all the slow + bad kicks from the list despite being criticised for it.

What do you know, he’s getting the exact same results as Clarkson did back then. They’re crushing teams left right and centre now.

Like Hawthorn, we should prioritise athletic players with good skills and speed. We should never load up our side with hack kicks again. It’s just not sustainable

Staying positive.
Could have been a slaughter but we were competitive for three quarters.
Stay true,stay Tiger.
Take the first qtr out of it. Can take some positives out of the game.

OK I think we can all see what the Hawks have been able to build a hard running, athletic and skilful young group, this is our plan going forward. We have seen growth in our younger group and should see continued growth in the likes of HRS, MRJ, Lafau, Grey, Bauer, Campbell, Brown, Gibcus, Tresize, Banks, Mc Aulliffe, Mancell, and should see improvement in Balta, Green, Smith and Clarke. Not all is lost with some quality drafting, less injuries and a full preseason we should see a more competitive squad. While I for one will be disappointed to see some of our premiership players move on, it maybe the only way to turbocharge our rebuild. I for one will be looking forward to an exciting 2-3 years following both our AFL & VFL sides as we develop.
