A 10-goal loss to Carlton. Yet when they were collecting and we were winning flags, the biggest we won by was 43 points.

I will never accept a coach saying “we don’t win by 10 goals” ever again. The next time we’re good, I want us to crush teams without hesitation like they crush us. It’s so unbelievably frustrating.
Yes but we only lost by 61 Geelong lost by 63

Kosi had another good game as 2nd ruck. 12 disposals, 4 marks (3 contested), 2 goals, 2 goal assists.

Now to get a look at.him alongside Balta and Lunch....
Yeah he’s been solid the last two weeks

Probably fair value for what we paid for him on right now, but nothings saying he can’t build on this form

Seems like he’s the type who needs to get one good touch early in the game and he just builds off it and will keep playing with the flair for the rest of the game

Was disappointed with Vlastuin’s composure in 3rd quarter. Panic kicks to half back to no one and then punching a ball straight to Blues player who called
I truly believe that this is the only thing holding him back from being a regular all Australian....every game he seems to be a slip over, give away a stupid free kick or make some absolute howler. still love him though, he has saved our bacon many many many times with sterling efforts.

The result was pretty much as expected heading in. We had a crack for as long as we could but just couldn't go with Carlton when they ramped up their game after half time. Regardless of the missed touched call, when they went full throttle we were found wanting.

I liked the performances of Miller and Blight down back, they kept Curnow & McKay to a combined 4.2 for the day when Carlton piled on 20.11 for the game. With Blight being able to come in and look comfortable, we can revert back to putting Balta forward, who kicked 3 goals from 8 disposals and worked well enough in partnership with Koschitzke to give us something to work with moving forward, especially when we get Lynch back in a few weeks.

Hopper & Taranto are clearly the foundation we will build our midfield around moving forward, but it's clear that we need some better ball users around them so that when they do win the ball at the contest and feed it out we can actually hurt teams with the ball use.

The draft is going to be extremely important for us and we've all but sewn up a top 3 pick and we've currently got 3 picks inside the first 2 rounds. We should give ourselves the injection of young talent that we really need.

Taranto, Hopper, Blight, Miller, Rioli, Kozi, Balta and Nank were good.

Graham, Short, Mansell and Bolton were pedestrians.

We won the free count for the second time this year, and I can't complain too much about the umpires, but they changed the momentum of the game along with Graham's 3 turnovers.

Blight's game was the highlight for me, and combined with Miller, they were magnificent against McKay and Curnow. These two missed their weekly allotment of 6-7 frees or non marks, and if this was a game against another top 8 side, they might have lost the game.

Graham is gone, and if Bolton wants out then lets grab some high draft picks now. Can't rebuild the side with a show pony - would rather hungry youngsters. If Baker wants out - I would understand, but NO WAY do we move on Rioli. Would have been a 100 point smashing without him.

Need to cash in and grab draft picks in the next 2 years - but we will be better with players returning from injury.

Out - Graham, Mansell, Dusty (managed)
In - Green, Gray, Prestia
Mansell was not a passenger. We need a 2nd small forward to help him out. He was the only one applying pressure in there. Campbell was horrible today.

Once again our midfield was shit on and was the difference.

Dusty past it, should think about giving it up. Bolton is elsewhere and mind not on the game.
Love our defense, getting better every day.

taranto biggest spud user of the footy, Please give me the inside 50 disposal stats and everything else,
I cant wait to see the sats you guys bring up. His only great contribution is he gets the ball a lot and sometimes kicks a goal while pressing up forwards.
Useless disposer of the ball and we realy is a nothing player as a mid.
Then we wonder why carlton ran over the top of us, Because they have mids that can use the footy.

Watched a little bit.

About what I expected. This year is just an extended preseason as far as I'm concerned.

All the chickens are coming home to roost for our dim witted drafting strategy post '19. Blind freddy could see we needed a Jack replacement. Now we're ****ed, needing a jack and Lynch replacement. That's inexcusable to end up like this.

Maybe, the injuries probably get us pick 1 now as we would have won a few more earlier in the season. We could go ultra aggressive if Baker and Rioli want to leave. Trade Bolton, he wont offer anythng to a rebuilding team. It would prob guarantee pick 1 the next 2 years as well.

Could have 3 pick 1s in a row + the 5 extra 1st rounders for the players we trade. It would mean 6-7 years until we play finals again, but that could easily happen anyway. Possible to let Balta go for pick 2 compo next season as well. He will be 30+ by the time we are ready.

The next 2 years will be awful whatever we do. We are nearly through 1 bad year, id go all in with the rebuild now.

Looks like he grows in confidence with good involvment in the game whether that be kicking a goal or getting up the ground and taking a strong mark.

The real disappointing thing about Dusty is he can no longer shrug off an opponent.
Now he looks like he couldn't even have the strength to do a push up.
