lol **** no .Since the year is done, we might as well play the kids. Piss Weller, Ellis off for good, drop prestia Georgie and butler to find form, relegate Lambert Grigg and houili to depth, and bring in Ross and whoever the **** else we recruited as midfielders the last 2 year's and hope at least 1 of them will become a serviceable midfielder for their career.
Also drop markov and keep menadur a mile from the team.
We should be aiming to take the best mid available with a top 4 pick cause lord knows our revruiters wont get a mid of quality outside the top 5. Then we just have to hope that this year is another 2016 or if we are still in this position this time next year we start making retirement plans for probably a fifth of our list and try to get Francis Jackson back for recruiting cause he is better than whatever monkey we have at the moment.
Should have challenged the Grimes suspension last week.Actually hit his shoulder first. Fine. We will us the Cox defence
True, probably the only positive is that we've lost to a couple top 6 teams. Is what it is a little bit. We're struggling, yep. Would be nice to be playing better, but at least we aren't losing to mediocre teams.
See what happens.
Has always been able to get the players to play for him which is a big thing, don’t underestimate that.I reckon he is a mediocre coach.
This about the 10th year of not helping star players when they are getting rape-tagged
Has always been able to get the players to play for him which is a big thing, don’t underestimate that.
I think he has always been limited in some ways though.
That same nature that gets the players behind him I think can blind him to their deficiencies though. He is no Clarke that makes the ruthless calls on moving players on.
He does not seem to be very imaginative and not a game day coach. No plan B when things aren’t going right. It took a poor 2016 for him to make the changes for 2017 and it is starting to look like this year could be another 2016 unless they make some changes.
Prestia and lambert were our best players friendSince the year is done, we might as well play the kids. I think they will play Martin this week then he will be “rested” against Sydney with the short break coming into the ANZAC match.I can't believe that we don't tag anyone. We won a flag with the help of a great tagging job. Any danger of somebody doing the job.
How three f**k did we let Cameron run around with a dodgy shoulder for over 3 quarters without bumping him or tackling him hard? F**k me.
So assuming all 3 of Grimes, Caddy and Houli are right to go next week, it has to be Ellis, Butler, Markov and Castagna to go out. Bring in Ross as well.
I would seriously look at dropping Martin right now too. He's as much value to the side as Ellis or Butler right now. Clearly cannot handle a hard tag...but he's getting no protection from his teammates either. Maybe Townsend should get a game sometime to hurt a few people.
Despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, I can see all of Butler, Ellis and Castagna playing next week.
reckon the season is over for us
Grimes....pretty sure cotch wont be playing next week. who steps in as skipper? pretty much our whole leadership group is out. edwards would have to be our most experienced right now
Granted game day changes are probably pissing in the wind a lot of the time, it is more about making bold selections and changes. Simms seems to stick with the comfortable.Imo, Plan B is a myth thrown around on bigfooty by supporters when their team has a string of loses. Every supporter whose team is playing shit thinks their coach has no plan b.
Coaches change up shit all the time, usually small things (Don't want to make drastic changes on game day). Even when they dont work, it's still changing things up.
port look huge
our players are all scrawny
add the sa umps and boos and we will get flogged next week
Have you actually watched any footy? History shows if you make more than a certain number of changes, your chances of winning diminish rapidly.
