So we got a first hand look at our supposed off season target today in Jacob hopper
29 disposals 14 contested 6 clearances 2 goals 7 score involvements 2 tackles @72%de

Also had 5 clangers though that was giving away 5 free kicks rather than poor ball use

Is he the big bodied mid we need in the engine room

Georgie replicated his woeful conversion inside 50 from last season. I realise he adds speed but really if he can't put the ball between the big white sticks then please replace him with someone who can. Had a couple of golden opportunities and just botched them like he normally does. He is not a finisher and I think Hardwick needs to realise this, i loved his chasing the last couple of seasons but otherwise he has been a passenger and is one of the poorest skill wise in the side.

What annoys me is in the real world if someone is lacking in a particular skill they do a course or have someone work with them to strengthen an area of weakness. His kicking has been a weakness since he came in the side and quite frankly he has got worse, what do the coaches actually get paid to do.

Who has the current team drafted, can only think of rioli and Higgins. Jackson got us rance reiwoldt astbury grimes Edwards cotchin martin. That's easily 7 of our top 10 players if not the top 7.

Jackson had a lot more early draft picks

Dimma has had one glaring weakness his whole time coaching us he refuses to tag the oppositions most damaging player and time after time it costs us and they carve us up

Sideass
Whitfield

They both did as they pleased
Great. He'll kick 8 and we'll only lose by 4 goals.

Easy Tiger,I’d be more pissed off if we lost these games with a full squad but our outs aren’t run of the mill players.

Looks like it’s our turn to get a run of injuries.

We can turn it around, better to get the bad luck early than right before September.

When Dusty is getting tagged like that we need everyone to employ some old school tactics to help him. Give away a free kick or two who cares but we need to be gang tackling De Boer in numbers, bumping him every stoppage and someone like Nankervis needs to throw his body into him at a stoppage and absolutely bury him. Let it be known we fly the flag if you want to get physical with one of our teammates.

Nothing is ever as bad as it seems. I thought we played a lot better today but ran out of legs. Pretty much 3 down because Rioli was only playing because we needed him to

It's terrible isn't it. People often call garbage out and think they can do better than professionals but they don't understand the pressure, speed and physicality of the game...but......having said that.....I would bet my entire bank account, car and house in a kick around the corner from 10m out contest against George. I'm no AFL player but that kick was literally the first kick I mastered. Top of goal square, 90 degrees to goals....only thing that can go wrong is kick it a bit low and have it touched by a player as it goes through....and even that's bloody hard to do. It is literally harder to kick it where he does than to just kick the goal from that spot. Mind boggling.

Yeah absolutely. That was one of the harder things to take today. We have absolutely no mongrel in us at all. It's quite pathetic actually. You'd get more objection and fire from a local 2s side. I can't for the life of me work out why players weren't banging into Cameron all day either after he was clearly sore. Our coaches have absolutely no sense of the occasion. How that wasn't a directive after he's already bloody kicked 3 goals and was running around with one arm limp is beyond me...

We need Townsend and Caddy into the team ASAP. They are the only players in the side I trust to actually show some ticker. Maybe Nank as well.

Both those guys must play. Towner is vicious we could use a bit of him right now.

Graham used to be aggressive in the centre, has lost form badly.
However Dimma seems implacably opposed to playing a tagger.
Meanwhile West Coast has Hutchings, the best in the business.

Super happy with how we're going I had us at 1 and 6 at the start of year I know we were always going to use this year to rebuild the list as we feel list we have won't take us to another flag so we have had intention to play people in different roles and games into kids etc to build for 2022 were we see ourselves primed for another crack there will be many tears and very few wins over the next 2 years but will be worth it
Intersting
