The real hero tonight that should get all the plaudits is our champ nank the tank. Spent 95% of the game on the ground, getting smashed in every contest but still giving us first use and he has only 22 games experience.

Cant agree more!!!Was about to say something along the same lines. He was awesome tonight. Not necessarily by what he did, but by what Goldstein didn't. Very similar output statistically. Just read the preview to get a feel for what damage Goldstein has done to use in the past. Toby's only 22 (yo) FFS!! he just kept going. Awesome. (Sorry Rancy but some one had to make way for Nank in my top 5).

So we are at the bye and I must say I'm so happy with how much defensive pressure we are bringing on a consistent basis. It's been a glaring issue for years and it's a massive relief we seem to finally have some good footy brains running things at the club now. Not counting my chickens but at least I don't want to pull my hair out on a weekly basis anymore. With another couple of good trade and draft periods...who knows. Go tiges!!!

Delusional. I've seen a number of North's games this season (for some reason, we seem to get a lot of these Etihad games) and, at the risk of stating the obvious, boy do they have some over-rated players. None more so than Shaun Higgins.

Fantastic win. Did Goldstein even get a contested mark? What a difference it was without waste of space Vickery and a legitimate ruck.
Midfield smashed theirs.
They didn't show Brad Scott sooking enough. Would've even liked to see he look in that smug boomer Harvey's face.
Our defence was super. I was waiting for Waite and Sideshow to have a big second half but it didn't eventuate so that was great.

I like Grigg but I'd like him to have to earn HS spot. Thought he wasnt great tonight.
Hoping 2 weeks more and Griffiths will be back for his day out team.
