Rioli looks like he'll be playing.

Daniel Rioli, ankle

"Daniel hurt his ankle late in the first quarter of Friday night’s game with the Dogs which needed to be treated and re-strapped during the match. He was able to get through the game but as expected pulled up a bit sore. He will have a lighter start to the week, but we are hopeful he will join in main training and be available to play on Sunday. The nine-day break will certainly help Daniel’s chances of getting up and we have a level of confidence that he will be able to do so."

Agreed Bradtke hasn’t really done enough to warrant promotion, but at this stage of the season, with finals out of the equation, why not.
If I was mini my instructions would be bring the ball to the ground, hit every aerial contest hard, give out small forwards an opportunity.
Keep it simple for him, no expectations of big bags, pack marks etc, just compete hard, and do what Miller hasn’t been able to do, even the aerial contests
Couldn't take a mark in the VFL game or kick straight... hate the thought of just gifting games.

Okay, fine. I can’t remember 2018 in that regard but I also thought he shouldn’t have played in last year’s elimination final. I still think last night’s injury was bogus though but there’s no point getting into it. Fact is, with him in the side we had last night, I think we beat anyone. And if he’s back next week we can still make finals with 12.5 wins (although % just took a major hit). But if it happens again this season or if we miss finals on %, then it won’t be able to be justified based on the evidence currently available. Being unable to state his specific injury is unprecedented and cause for suspicion. I expected Cotchin to miss based on age and recent form, but we knew at the beginning of the season he would be managed at times. They didn’t even pretend there was anything wrong with him. But soreness? With Dusty’s importance to the side, his recent form and at 32? Jack kicked three and he’s 34. If we’re trying to save him from injury then we must be confident we can win the next three otherwise what more important game would we be saving him for? Just the way the team’s responded both times he’s pulled out last minute and the % lost on both occasions makes it a highly dubious strategy if there’s not something else going on altogether. Don’t ask me what that is though. I’m just a poor boy from a poor family, spare me this life from this Dustrosity 🤪
No it's not.

It's not about gifting games it's about structures. We need a leading forward with a bit of body to hit the ball and bring it to ground at the very least. Jack gets on the odd one, but Bradtke covers ground at pretty good pace so defenders have to stay with him. He works up to the wing and back. We all hoped Miller would do the job and he half did but is out with concussion so bring in the next like for like. Bradtke is a far harder worker than Miller. Bauer is more your flanker. Yes he dropped a few marks and kicked a few points as you say but has taken a few good grabs and kicked some big goals, so he can do it.

Agree about he’s VFL form.

Just think with the season done, it’s worth having a look at him. JR has been doing all the grunt/ contested work for the entire season. Let’s see if we can at least get some structure into our forward line. Bring more ball inside 50 to ground and give our small forwards some better opportunities

Lol , just saw your post after posting myself, not riding on your coattails 😄
Couldn’t agree more 👍

At this stage of the season you’ve just got to work with what you’ve got on the list

I’m far from convinced Bradke will be the answer, but it’s worth having a look.

One never should, but I assume, there are probably two or three different surgeons involved.
I mean the surgeon who operates on your bowel, or foot, or head etc. are specialists and confine their work to that area of the body.
