Isn't that typical Robbie Gray though? Give him the footy 35 metres out on a 45 deg angle and he misses his fair share but put him on the boundary with the last kick of the game and we win.

A question was it Robbie Gray who took the tap out from Paddy Ryder to goal and win us that game against St Kilda a few years back?

I'm sure Zak Butters was thinking it :p

After the players stopped hugging Robbie enmasse against the fence as they walked back towards the field of play, Todd Marshall gave him another big hug. Todd knew Robbie saved his bacon and lots of fingers being pointed at him.

Todd knew he wasn't worthy.

What a legend this guy is. I can't stop watching this kick for goal.

Huddo has made some great calls in big Port games the last 15 years or so, both at channel 10 days and Fox Footy.

Robbie's goal after the siren to win was supposedly the 50th time in over 15,500+ V/AFL games that has occured.

Port have done it 3 times now, Peter Burgoyne 2000 v Carlton, and Jared Poulton in 2002 v Sydney, and had it done twice to them - by the WCE.

You can see that there is a disportionate times this has happened the last 20 years, probably as tactics have changed and the games are lower scoring tight struggles and almost preprogrammed compared to footy in the good old days.

Blight's goal against Carlton in 1976 was the 16th occurrence, Buckennara's against Mlb in 1987 PF was the 24th and the last one of 20th century was Quenton Leach ( recently RIP) for Freo v Brisbane in 1997 was 28th occurrence.

So 28 times in 100 years, and now 22 times in last 20 years.

7 times blokes have kicked a goal after the siren to draw, Mitch McGovern's against Collingwood was the last time. 5 times a point was kicked after the siren to win a game. Walters did it last year against Brisbane.
