Obviously alot of people on this board never played sport before even the comontaters are saying the conditions suit the lions. Add the Injuries I think we did well.
I have played a lot of sport and if you think this group is mentally tough enough to get to a Grand Final you are kidding yourself.

11 points is probably closer than most predicted, but the injury cost could be huge.

For me the real issue is that nothing has changed. Our F50 entries are awful, we give up far too many goals on quick transition after a turn over, we can't match up on the big forwards and we struggle to get the ball out of d50.

Hard to say how much fatigue contributed to the last quarter capitulation, but it must have been very taxing conditions to play in. The opposition dealt with that far better than we did, which I guess is understandable.

On the plus side I thought our half back line did well until they tired, Dan & DBJ in particular.

Not good enough. Mentally weak when it mattered.

Compared to what I was expecting though and emotion out of it not the worst game we have ever played. We dominated large parts of it.

Should have won from where we were but injuries at a bad time affected structure and rotations and we weren't good enough to recover.

Same old fwd structure and skill error issues mean we dint have the buffer we could have used.

Some players stood up which was good but Finlayson was useless as a ruck and a forward.

Need a lot more from Marshall Rozee Butters and MG to take the next step.
Yes, the forward line was particularly quiet. Brisbane had their resting Ruckmen and Daniher which was the difference. Some of those goals came when Allir was off the ground and when McKenzie was injured. When Dixon is back I would like to see less relaince on him and the midfield chip in to kick goals. We need to be less predictable

I saw Marshall head down must've been the exhausting effort he put in for 4 qtrs. Sooooo over this charlatan. Backed him for years and years.

Nuff's e nuff. Take ya lazy laconic cooler than cool persona and show us thru' the sanfl how much you want for the jumper.

F*cken disgusting effort.
I said we should have put him up for trade 2 years ago when he had some value.
Don’t think my opinion was well received but at the end of the day we will trade him but as normal we will get bugger all for him.

I want to be angry at Hinkley as much as the next guy, but they had nothing left in the tank. Nothing.

It just feels like it's always us.

Also not the first time its happened, seems to be a regular occurrence of our players getting injured in key games and us being 2-3 on the bench. Happened in the Richmond PF, happened Vs West Coast EF, happened Vs Geelong QF.

Undermanned in-game in tough conditions is one thing; bedwetting when not under pressure is another. Magic tricks from Dan outside 50 just to stay in a game is not going to win us much, but thanks for trying lad. Not sure what we take out of this yet... apart from injuries and that all too familiar PTSD-dog sinking feeling, even if it doesn't feel fully justified this evening. Can't bring myself to listen to Ken's presser. Please please effing please don't use the word "brave" for one good almost-a-quarter of footy.

Not too bad an effort . Feel we had injury disruptions throughout the game . Left at least 3 players struggling .
Didnt get anything out of Marshall or Finlayson that was disappointing, Georgiades did minimal but I think he might’ve been hampered , Rozee showed the odd glimpse but I think he was hampered as well .
Boak was excellent , Houston brilliant, Burton good especially in the first half , Byrne Jones the same , Jonas was good . Powel Pepper was good. Allir was another who was hampered . Bonner was good . Jones got better the longer the game went . Wines , Drew , Amon and Butters were decent . Lycett was ok , Mead was ok , Motlop was ok , McKenzie was ok until injured . Gray was not much but was hampered too .
I think we came to play but missed Charlie , struggled a bit with the troops and didn’t quite get there .
I don’t think it was anything to do with coaching , put Daniher in our side we probably would’ve won .
I thought the kick ins were better thanks Chad , thought we worked hard but fell short

We were 24 points up & sh*t the bed it's as simple as that, if it wasn't for a Houston hail mary it was another famous goalless rudderless term.

Close loss but familiar pattern.
24 points up with momentum in a low scoring game and then nothing, to me completely lacking character and leadership to turn it around, happens against good sides year after year.

A soft Club that rides around on the coattails of what we once were.

Hinkley is such a joke. He's not even half competent.

He's allowed such a feeble mindset to become entrentched throughout the Club, and he's been ably supported to Koch.

How the hell are players meant to handle any sort of pressure when you constantly turn a blind eye to happenings that need attention?

Our once greatest strength, the quality that attracted me to the PAFC so many years ago is now nothing but a shredded mess on the back of a soft, everyone cuddle national morning tv host and a used car salesman who does nothing more than play charades with the AFL community.

It was a reasonable effort for three quarters in trying conditions with rotations hampered by injuries. It was brave, but like always that all means nothing when we dish up what we did for the last 30 mins.

Lycett is a joke, as is Marshall.

Butters needs to get his head out of his arse and stop trying to be oh so cute and start playing with more purpose.

The whole forward line is an absolute over-coached mess. There is no instinctive play it's all by the numbers.

Rozee looks a shadow of what we once thought so why not throw the guy to the half back line and free him up a little. He's never ever going to be a fulltime mid and Josh Carr said exactly that the day after he was drafted but Ken has all the creativity and feel for the game of a wasted muppet.

Every year, different players, new hope, yet the one constant remains the same and that is Hinkleys completely ****ed up philosophy on how the game should be played.

A feeble team coached by a feeble man emplyed by a feeble tv personality.

When will it ever end
