Having attended the game can i just say what
a) a disgrace the umpiring was.
b) a disgrace the very concept of a GC side in the AFL is. it was that silent when they had the ball, i coulda sworn it was a Richmond training session. they there were more boos than cheers when they got a free kick. when they kicked a goal to the RFC suppprters end there was silence.

there simply is 0 zupport for the club and this is a direct result/results in poor performance by the club.

If the AFL took their heads out of their @$$3$, they would see the failure this is and relocate the club to Tasmania. its an embarrasment to the whole establishment and the fans for them to have a crowd of 16,000 where at least 14,000 of them were richmond supporters.
Need to have Derby's in the non-traditional football states.....

Love the tourettes behaviour of everyone... each week, trying to decide between Rioli, Bolton, Butler, Castagna, Stengle which one cost us the win, which one is not up to it, which one needs a rest, which one needs to be rotated....

Whilst overlooking that they've been critical to our success. Need to get over it... will send you loopy.

It's BF someone needs to be dropped. Last week many wanted Sheds dropped because he had a shitty 30% de, this week he had the equal best of 89% go figure.

That said, this week I would like to see Short in for Butler, then the following week Butler back in for Bolton and that's it for the small forward resting/rotations in the lead up to the finals.

Umpiring was just deplorable again on Saturday. Getting so sick of the inconsistencies. Perfect example is the final quarter, Shai Bolton grabs the ball on the forward flank and is tackled by Sean Lemmons as he drops the ball with one arm pinned. Great tackle, called holding the ball/incorrect disposal. Happy with that, only if they are paid both ways.
Less than 1 minute later, Mcintosh chases down Aaron Hall in an identical effort, is dragged to the ground with 1 arm pinned and the ball bobbles out. Called play on, as the ball goes out of bounds it is then called a throw in. How can that decision in an identical situation, less than 1 minute later be called differently.

Ins: Riewoldt, Prestia
Outs: Butler, Miles

We just need someone to show an iota of accountablity to Gunston and Sicily when the sit a kick behind the ball.

Jack Graham to debut against Fremantle.

They should have kept it at 16 teams, encourage two of North bulldogs and saints to semi relocate under favourable conditions (one to tassie the other to gold Coast) and be done with it.

18 teams is shit.

Hope the Match Committee consider Townsend for this weekend...plonk him on the HFF and tell him to make Sicily feel every touch he gets. Eventually he will lose the plot and get himself reported. Once that's done, head over to the other HFF and do the same to the grumpy old good bloke...and we all know he won't be able to hold back. Voila...two half back rebounders not rebounding. And punish Isaac Smith EVERY opportunity...he's lost a yard...we have oodles of speed...bang goes their run and deliver. For those who pondered Gunston as the solution to our CHF "crash and bash" needs...lets see how many RFC bodies he actually hits. Put Tigger on Bruest and watch our backline/midfield lock it in. We should and need to get this done...let the Cats know we are coming.

Just on this, i was wondering why the umpire didn't recall it then thought because it didn't go outside the circle is why, same qtr we had a centre ball up go straight to us which never left the circle, umpire quick as a flash blows his whistle and asks for the ball back.
The umpires are cheats, it was too ****ing obvious Saturday night, when the game was on the line all one way, they evened up the tally after the game was done

The Gold Coast is a sporting team graveyard

Soldo is awful - he must go.

He is a deadset liability.
He really isn't. Pls rewatch the game and focus on him.

He is vital when we are playing the 2 ruck combo. Obviously Nank is the better all round player but Soldo will get better with more games. He's 3 wins from 5 games. Give him a chance.

Noted the conditions. Thought he was particularly fumbly. Will watch again.
I am entitled to it, thanks.
Yes it is. Im here your here its healthy debate. What does it mean? 5/5ths.
Are you in the 4 walls?

There's no debate. Just someone who clearly has an agenda against Josh caddy.
FYI everyone was fumbly Saturday night. Those humid, slippery conditions do that.
Don't think sarcasm is your strong point, nor is reviewing a game of football

Please read my further posts.
I went back and watched the replay. Admitted he wasn't terrible.
I definitely do not have an agenda against Caddy.
He definitely did not do anything superlative that night though. All the talk of long searching leads and the physicality around the contest is simply not true. He hit 2 packs hard. Spent most his time deep in our 50.
I stand by what I said and am more than prepared to get specific.
It's a footy blog. Try to relax.
Sure I used a little sarcasm, but allowing me my opinion? You kind of deserved it.

If you watched the replay how on earth can you even focus on what Caddys workrate was like off the ball... TV simply does not show 'Josh caddy' cam and you barely get to see anything further up the ground or behind the play. Tv cameras will follow the ball from contest to contest
Are you going this week? Watch him live...

After all this I guarantee one thing. Josh Caddy will not be dropped

"Even on tv you could tell his work rate was massive"

Remember saying that???

Did you watch it live or on TV?

Because I can promise you one thing, from a TV perspective his work rate did not look huge and nor did he exert any extra physicality bar 2 contests. It's like saying CEllis dominated in the air.
It's one or two instances blown out of proportion.
There are plenty of shots of players steaming fed where yo can clearly see Caddy sitting in the 50.
There are also plenty of instances where we are moving the ball out of the backline and would have used him as a release if he had been on these long searching leads. He wasn't there. Either off or in the 50.
This is all fine. I've admitted I was initially harsh. It's not his role and he didn't make a mess of it. I've admitted this. But huge? No. Great? No. He played his role. Did a few good things. Got spanked one on one.
Caddy was a dot ball.

Castagna with the Rising star nomination! Along with a couple of coaches votes. What a comeback after half time.
Hopefully his 4th quarter set shots become the norm. The rest of his game is solid and he's very good at getting to the right spots, but the goal kicking has been so bad that it stands out in an entire team that butchers shots at goal.

Lol Rocket giving Hall 5 votes to boost his trade value.

I love supporters like you. Must have done something right for dimma to praise him in the press conference.
