I think it’s more about what the oppo was doing. I don’t think we changed much in terms of matchups or game plan? Sydney just came hard and fast and their mids exploded.

Our Achilles heel has always been our midfield depth when the whips are cracking. We got dominated around the ball and had no answer. Same as Cripps last week and Freo earlier in the year.

If i was asked i'd wait until lists are finalised Domus.
if we bring 4 starting 23 players as we did pre season 23 we will.

If we are nett one down and enter season 25 with full knowledge our FB was a huge risk to not take the field and be 100% aware our FF would miss 90% of the year it'll be tough. Further, if our summer list additions, are 2 very vanilla slow mids and a tall who again we knew would miss the majority of the year....well something might have to go our way to make it.

Yes, i was not a fan of our list strategy post 2023 glory, polar opposite of the previous off season

It’s a Shame that last quarter effort took some of the positives away, Cameron was absolutely superb and has been fantastic
this year. He 100% deserves to finish behind Nick in the Copeland, nobody has been more consistent then those two this year.

Amen to that! It’s extraordinary how many teams and especially us go away from what was working so well and instead attempt to shut up shop and defend a lead. Madness and maddening.

Schultz trade is a disaster

It's getting a bit tedious knowing that no matter how well we play for 3 and 1/2 quarters, really the only thing that matters in Collingwood games is the final 10 mins. When we're down, we can win it (though it's been rare this year). When we're up, we almost give it away every time.

Without home ground advantage you're going to lose the umpiring calls every day if the week.

Also, the fact that we lost from 5 goals up (and should have lost the same way last week) and are choosing to blame umpires is silly. It's becoming a pattern. We all know it and feel it. 12 mins or so to go, we've been dominant all game, oppo kick a couple goals and bang - we know what's coming.

Freo game, Carlton game, now this.

Unfortunately even if we win our last few games we're incredibly reliant on a whole bunch of other results going right and even then we'd need a huge percentage to sneak in.

Season is done. It's been a weird year. Pretty bummed that over the whole year the team has not been able to fix the not holding on to roads issue. And over 3 years of being one of the best sides, we've not really managed to put any good side to the sword at any point other than Port Adelaide.
