Possibly but who was realistically available and at what price?Do you think had we used that currency on a midfielder or a half back instead of Schultz our form would be better?

Nope - I answered them all. But feel free to correct me.You literally gave up on the last ones.
Sometimes you have to.Yep, he missed on that one.
Every supporter (our and oppo) know it was terrible.
Calling it makes you look like a sore loser - these are the things you just have to seethe about behind closed doors and address with the AFL - but don’t say you will in a presser.
I think he’ll know himself he shouldn’t have said this.
You can believe that if you want. In reality no arguments you have offered have held up to the slightest bit of scrutiny.Nope - I answered them all. But feel free to correct me.
Remembering of course this was a debate about Schultz.
I wish someone from the club called it publicly earlier in the seasonYep, he missed on that one.

Do they also make scum toilet paper?Seasons over and it’s still a beautiful day in Perth. Some of the eeyores on here need to go touch some grass. Morning trip to Bunnings resulted in this thing of beauty.
(And yes I bought a Carlton doormat to wipe my feet on)

Very unlike him. I was surprised he mentioned them in this way. I understand he needs to answer specific questions, but this looks & sounds whiny.Yep, he missed on that one.

If that’s the case then your stubbornness and ego overwhelms your desire for understanding logical debate and discussion on an issue. You can believe that if you want. In reality no arguments you have offered have held up to the slightest bit of scrutiny.
Looking forward to the next bit of spin you offer.
Does it?Usually pays off the next week though
I just want to move in from it Schu. It’s been done to death. As a club we’ve made good trades, and bad trades. You could go through any club and find good and bad decisions. We aren’t immune from them. We traded in the norm smith medalist for a second rounder, then traded Shultz for a top 10. Swings and roundaboutsUsually I agree w you Stormsky, but I judge the process as results will always differ
- 2022 trading was still slightly above value for what those players were currently delivering (for whatever reason) and the cost of the trades (even if the players didn’t develop or fit our scheme, weren’t going to seriously compromise our future drafting / trading
Had GWS know he would be a NS medalist, then they quite rightly could and should have asked for more. He wanted out and they did ok for what he had produced.
- I’m in the camp of I don’t care if our F1 for Schultz turns out to be pick 6 or 18, the process of the deal wasn’t right. He was not worth a F1 and current 2nd. I hate other posters (not you) making assumptions that I wouldn’t be criticising the trade if it was 18. The trade was short-sighted, arrogant and flippant with our pick currency (this is all my opinion - but I think I’ve argued it well). He would have been UFA in one year, and I believe the picks (if they needed to be traded at all) should have been spent in other areas of the ground. We have the right and responsibility to walk away from trades if the other club asks too much.
What is disgraceful is the treatment of Schultz who had no say in his cost. My fury is direct solely at those who signed off on this
- further, just bc we trade well one year doesn’t give those responsible a open-ended stamp to “just get deals done”. Look at the names we are now mentioning about bringing in bc we can’t bring in quality. Look at the decisions being considered about future picks being trade bc we don’t have the currency for this draft that has both the mids and talls we need / like. Imagine if there was a Selwood there at our first and he could help us win multiple flags? Yes I know that reaching but it’s the same as posters who as so dismissive of first and second round picks
I’d have also been staunch on making the Cats give a first for Ollie or be willing to see him go to draft for nothing. There are still benchmarks to be set. Just my opinion.
Sorry about the long response, not directed at you, I’m just so mad that an idiot like me could see the foolishness of last season’s trade period and those who are smart and make big $$$ couldn’t be more responsible for our future - we are the club, not them.
Bet they’ll still take my membership $ next year.
last night and the Freo game are the worst examples of umpires directly influencing the outcome of a game I've seen in a long time.Don’t agree
I would have gone further and ripped into the umpires even more
It’s an integrity issue now for the afl
Pay the fine and set the cat amongst the pidgeons
Can’t make things worse than what we’ve already copped this year
We’ve had the rub of the green once against the kangaroos and been pumped in half a dozen
3 of those have cost us 12 premiership points
I doubt they would have projected an injury list of 19, and the consequences on ladder position. So the recruiting staff had no foresight to imagine a scenario where we didn't win the flag this year?
I’d worry about your own stubbornness and egoIf that’s the case then your stubbornness and ego overwhelms your desire for understanding logical debate and discussion on an issue.
I see what you’re sayingSometimes you have to.
That was as blatant and important as it gets. Certain goal and win for us if McStay gets the Fifty
I thought the 22 qualifying final where they got Geelong home cost us the premiership was the worst I’ve ever seen but last nights was top 5 definitelylast night and the Freo game are the worst examples of umpires directly influencing the outcome of a game I've seen in a long time.
What they could have predicted though is that would be light for half backs and and midfielders instead of investing in an already well stocked area such as small forwards.I doubt they would have projected an injury list of 19, and the consequences on ladder position.
Because his first instincts are what he was taught. Never grab the ball in a ruck contest, because if tackled, you will give away a free.On review- why didn't Coxy grab that pill and have a snap on goal in the last minute instead of that double handed pat to nobody?
Agree, but like the pre-finals bye it may take clubs a while to adjust and figure out the best preparation for the earlier startIt was ridiculous to start so early but it’s on those at the club to be prepared regardless.
Agree mate and apologiesI just want to move in from it Schu. It’s been done to death. As a club we’ve made good trades, and bad trades. You could go through any club and find good and bad decisions. Could we have done it better, of course. We dust ourself off and look to improve. Like we did in 2021.
I just want to focus on moving forward and improving the club. The non stop focusing on negative aspects does my head in. No issues with people criticising it, but to bring it up over and over and over again. It’s not helpful. And makes this forum nauseating at times.
Last I want to speak about it, because I’m all about us building for next year.
And up the doggies for 24
Sydney in the prelim was pretty bad aswelllast night and the Freo game are the worst examples of umpires directly influencing the outcome of a game I've seen in a long time.

Mentioning the umpires in your presser after a loss never goes down well...
