These games continue to be a part of my defiance of the statistics in being a 35yr-old heart attack victim.

So proud of the boys. Sam's building something, and we get to get in on the ground floor. So happy to be a hawks fan right now!

So happy that some of the players who struggled with fumbles and errors in the second and third (Cmac, Morrison, DGB) all had some really important moments in the last.

The growth in matches like this is the reason why we won’t be rebuilding for long.

Also love Ward’s balance and composure at the contest. Is extremely clever not to give away frees but still have an impact. Something that our previous midfield have struggled with.

Voted Kosi for MVP. Newcombe was best on without doubt but Kosi allowed himself Nash and Newc to compete against the big bodies all over the ground.

So many incredible efforts today against the Corio senior citizens.

Was told I was as excited as a little kid, as a 49yo.
Couldn't be prouder or happier.

Ive had too many heartbreaks vs Geelong. Was convinced we'd lose. Hawkins was threatening to break the game open, and Frost was lost. But he was brilliant in the last.

Again, the kids are doing the bulk of the heavy lifting which is what I'm loving.

The Reeves injury sapped our confidence, we were flat for a good quarter and a half. We'd normally be run over (maybe we were, but bad kicking is bad footy geelong)

Spent the middle quarters with the old bomb to Geelong. Thankfully, we went back to the Mitchell gameplan of using our running as a weapon.

If newk doesn't get the rising star nomination, the selectors can GAGF

I know he's a bit of a meme, but Frosty has been playing at an 8/10 + level the whole year.

Really tried to give him votes in the Yabby but just felt there were few ahead of him. Has been great this year.

What a f****** win!!!!

Tom Mitchell’s second half but especially final quarter was absolutely amazing. The power just to will himself to clear the ball time and time again.

That was a special one.

I thought the weather was going to **** with our skills and be a major issue - it sure looked like it in the 3rd quarter.

But lol, Mitchell just said **** this, threw the team on his shoulder and showed the world why he is a brownlow winning midfielder. Still gasping at how clean he was in those last 15 minutes.
