It was a classic case of our players drinking heavily from their own bathwater and getting way ahead of them selves and their own capabilities. Which considering what they had achieved ( nothing ) is a major worry!

A major worry would be doing it after 6 years under the same coach, or with an experienced team.

New coach, new plan, fewest games played in the league, crummy leadership.

So they got ahead of themselves. It happens.

One would think he is behind Brown - he’s played 50 games. I think we forget that.

No way, he can spoil as well as Brown but is faster, has better reach, goes for marks and is a nice kick.

I agree that I prefer Howard as he is the future. But with compressed games he may need a spell, and if so you know that Brown can do a good job.

So they can bring Brown in when say he looks to be a good match for an opposition key forward and spell Howard that game.
