"See youse next week".

Very disrespectful. I'm sure Kane Cornes is leading with his pitchfork as he did with Ginnivan.
Presser announcing his sacking is next week.

That is one of the poorest displays I've seen from a coach in a press conference in recent memory. If the media wonder why we don't perform in finals under Hinkley that should be classed as exhibit A. The pressure gets to him every time, and today, it seems that it finally broke him.

That's deplorable from Hinkley today in my opinion. Especially when compared to Chris Scott last week. Scott oozed confidence and his team played accordingly. We have this bumbling idiot who is clearly rattled by pressure and the moment ahead.

Tomorrow night could get ugly if that performance rubs off on the players which judging on past performances is every chance of happening.
It is arrogance personified.

This one is different. In a lot of ways.

Someone else posted it, but what type of coach challenges the club's board the day before a final? He could have said I'm not answering that question we have a big game to focus on and quickly moved on. Instead, he goes the other way and makes a mess of it. You can hear the Victorian media preparing their defence of him for tomorrow morning's press already. That looks to be by design on his part. No one will convince me otherwise.

This was his worst performance in a presser for some time. He has a huge catalogue of choices to choose from but today takes the cake for me.
He sees himself as untouchable.

he genuinely thinks if they just run faster like greyhounds they will win

I have thought he was going to get sacked multiple times.

Just like I keep believing that maybe this final will be different.

I'm a sucker like that.

And yet I still get gaslit for "not being a real supporter".

I have legitimately only thought he was close to being gone in 2022. Knew he was gone early 2023 barring a miracle (which is what he got). Knew as soon as he signed that 2 year extension that the final year of the deal (2025) was predicated on performing well in finals in 2024.

Nathan Buckley made an astute point on Whateley’s SEN show earlier this week about how the narrative now is that coaches aren’t allowed to enter a year with an expiring contract. That they get extended under the guise of security. In effect, the second-to-last year is the real last year of a contract. He was a bit bemused by it all.

I’ve butchered his words a little bit, but hopefully captured the essence. In short, undeserved extensions are built in to the business model these days.

The football media are so scared to ask the tough questions. When Hinkley came out with all of that 'I'm contracted' rubbish it should've been put to him that there are plenty of coaches who get sacked with a contract including most recently Adam Simpson.

...
Also tells me there's zero interest out there for him after Port
Agree. The fact that he is publicly announcing that he is going to hold the club to his contract means that the talk of him being in the running for the West Coast job is just his manager leaking to the media to try and spook Koch into another contract extension for Donuts.

LMAO.

Ken lied about Ryan Burton's fitness and TEN MINUTES LATER Channel Nine reporter Braden Ingram found out the truth.

Kenny is such a shambles.

It's really weird.

Ken is usually very up front with this kinda thing, to the point where port fans get annoyed that he announces selection way before they need to. You get the feeling he's second guessing himself.

I love port more than i hate Ken. i will still keep the faith this friday. and if keeping ken is the price of a premiership this year then so be it.

Even if for some ungodly reason we lose but still keep ken next year, i will still support this club for all its worth.

having said that, his time should be done. i think 2018/19 was probably where it should have stopped. any extension prior to that you can probably forgive.
