He's got to fall on his sword. I've put myself through the torture of reading the reviews, articles, watched all the clips post game and the common theme is Ken. He shat the bed last night, in the most spectacular way possible.

He's taken us as far as he can, how the players can get up for another pre season under him is beyond me. Some of the players are to blame as well, they aren't without scrutiny but Ken just totally destroyed any chance we had. To have a team off a week off, not switched on at the start of a preliminary final defies belief. It's actually not possible. I'm still sitting here stunned it happened.

There are no elite standards under Ken, it's near enough is good enough. He can't raise the level in cut throat moments against the elite sides, our track record against contenders the past few years is appalling.

What worries me the most is the scars from this will linger into next season. If we get to round 10 at 4-6 for arguments sake does he go then? We need the Freo Ross Lyon/Mark Harvey moment. It has to happen this week or we stare into the mid table abyss next season. That may sound pessimistic but my faith in this group, and Ken and the coaches is gone after last night.

In fairness to Ken and the boys, we’ve been very unlucky to come up against quality teams in the 3 prelims

In 2014 we came up against the Hawthorn dynasty

In 2020 we came up against the Richmond dynasty

In 2021 we came up against the emerging Bulldogs dynasty

It’s just really unfortunate that we’ve faced teams that are better than us.

Give Ken a few more years and hopefully next time we end up in a prelim we can play a non-top 8 side.

If you guys were to move Ken on, Buckley should absolutely be your man. He is a very good coach, great football brain, very astute. No doubt there was more pressure on him to perform at Collingwood than if he was at any other club. He demands high standards and gets the most out of unwanted players (Howe, Crisp, Roughead off the top of my head basically forced out by their previous clubs).

Now that he’s separated from his wife, he’s more likely to shift interstate than he would have been a year or two ago IMO.

Would be a great get for you.

wow there's some real deep insight there, **** me "Footy Experts" are really not. Clearly haven't watched us very hard this year, we had an easy draw and what happened last night was happening the previous 2 months just we ran into shite teams and got away with it. Against Geelong it turns out they were over rated and clearly out of legs at the end of the year. Again, what does he have over these people, at what point is it OK for a Port fan to demand change? How much of the same do we need to see as a football media for the epiphany? It's ****ing baffling.

When the rumors and disquiet started in around 2017/18 regards the unwarranted Extension/Sacking of KH , the AFL basically stepped in and said no , there attitude will be the same this time , mind you it didn't stop the likes of Collingwood or Carlton . They will point out that we did better than 14 other Clubs , i would say , so Fing what , Premierships is what WE play for !.
