Tredrea is the only media commentator who has criticised Hinkley and stuck by it. And now that he's had a 'speaking to' by the club, one wonders if Tredrea will hold back on the criticism when the inevitable Hinkley shitshow starts up again next year.

This club has slowly morphed into the Crows ever since David Koch came on board. For shame!

That Kornes on radio segment is just awful. The definition of conflict of interest. Kornes comes off worse than Ken too. When Tex and Bevo attacked him for comments made he stood by them, when Ken attacks him he backs off. Pathetic. Zero integrity.
Our Club has form when it comes to conflict of interest.

Kornes is a minor offender compared to Director Cardone, whose ninth year / third term ends in October.

We have as much chance of him being cleansed from our establishment as we do Hinkley, another conflict of interest in that he gets paid a fortune to coach our team to a premiership and instead serves to benefit the opposition.

Im doubtful that he ever will, 12mil in debt so no way the AFL let us sack him even if Koch was smart enough to realise the guys is a no hoper.
Reality is he's is probably here until at least mid 2023. We could miss finals and we will be told its an aberration and we'd made prelims the last 2 years and that we need to back Ken in.
With this sort of framework im tipping guys like Wines will start to look at their options instead of going down the gurgler

Am i giving Koch and the board too much credit in thinking they might be setting Hinkley up to fail by finally starving him of the resources he's been gifted his entire tenure? Because he looks truly exposed now and has absolutely nowhere to hide. His entire football program looks to be hollowing out a bit like that of Mark Williams in the post premiership years.

Either way (forced or end of contract) we are gearing up.

Yes you are.

Koch went from “we don’t want the sugar hit of playing finals” to “Ken has the best W/L record of a Port Adelaide coach”

Changing the narrative to support whatever mediocre script he wants to pedal

Pathetic
Exactly. You can tell he went through all the numbers and cherry picked some bullsh**, smoke and mirrors stat to cover his ass for what is ultimately, his ineptitude.
Im not sure when, but the grandstanding show pony will walk away from this club as a complete failure who set this club back for years.

I think we need to pick our moment. We're not the ruthless club we once were. Given that, I think we all know that ken will be coach at the start of next year. The club can justify keeping him on after making the prelim twice.

But we need to make it known that anything less than a flag next year and he must go. Every time we lose we should inundate football programs on radio calling for his head. Let's find out if we're really only 10%.

Then when the time is right, when we know we can't win it, we need to come together and protest - signs, t-shirts, the works. Maybe at a game or maybe at Alberton. If we work together we can force the club into action.

Then hope that they choose the right replacement.

Seeing they closed this thread debt demolition campaign I will post this hear.

So there is 60,000 members and only 10% are hard core white noise and the 90% are true Hinkley happy clappers.

If that's the case that is around 54,000 happy clappers, if they love port like they say they do how come they don't wipe out our debt. If they all want our club to survive so they can keep clapping mediocrity, dig deep and donate $200 each, That's 10.8 million right there.

Happy clappers go here: https://chasinggreatnessfund.com.au/

But no, they would rather take to FB and defend it all.

Port Adelaide Football Club lives to the charter to compete and win in the biggest competition in the land, representing our community with pride and passion.

The goals in our ‘Chasing Greatness’ Strategic Vision are bold.

Winning premierships
, reaching 100,000 members, redeveloping the Alberton Oval precinct and being completely debt free by 1 November 2025.

People who don’t understand Port Adelaide question the boldness of our plan.

They don’t understand the values our Club has been built on.

Port Adelaide expects to win, and we embrace that expectation in all we do.

To be truly great we cannot rely on financial institutions and the AFL.

We’re a force to be reckoned with, and now we seek financial freedom.

Read that then watch the replay of the prelim, if you can stomach it.

In my opinion Koch and his ginormous ego would be more interested in protecting his ridiculous `i want to make you a 10 year coach,' than exposing kern as a (bigger) dud by paring down his support, which I suspect is as much about saving money than it is about any other issue.

Happy to be wrong, but I believe there is more chance of kern pulling the pin on himself than there is of the club doing it for him, and unless that happens we are stuck with him until the end of 2023.

What steps have been put in place to achieve this plan?

We've managed to lock in the coach with the highest Home & Away winning percentage in the club's history!

It's all well and good to have a plan but if you don't do anything to achieve it then it's probably not gonna work. I can have a strategic vision to boink Elizabeth Olsen and Aubrey Plaza at the same time, but if I sit at home holding my knob they probably aren't gonna turn up at my front door in their undies. The club is sitting at home holding their knobs and doing nothing except stick with the same tried and failed strategy.

Quietly our neighbours installed the right man (Olsen) and he’s be quietly going about business. They will have built a new facilities at Bowden by the time we are out of debt and then some.

If we’ve managed to start in debt for so long how the hell are we going to get out of debt so quick?

By winning 3 of the next 4 premierships and generating an extra 40,000 members from it somehow with the same dud coach who hasn't achieved diddly squat in a decade.

Best win record since 04 so what 2 coaches lol , Williams then primus now hinkley who has been better then 1 coach since 1998 is not amazing Koch 😆

I don't think he has been better than Primus, at least not definitively so. Matty gets dragged through the mud by a lot of people, but the selection decisions he made arguably set the club up. He was working on a shoestring budget and given the boot after just 2 years. Like a lot of coaches, we will never know how successful he could have been if he had been given 9 years in the role with the resources, list and support staff Ken has had.
