Can you share the general gist, and let us know if you get anything other than a template reply?

Given it’s a bit long-winded and by now I’m sure quite samey, I don’t expect anything more than a template, or perhaps something of a bespoke “you mention 2012: look how far we’ve come! stick with us etc etc” rebuttal.

But stranger things have happened.

Where's the accountability to us the stakeholders in the club for that rubbish that Hinkley and the players served up? There's been nothing from the club at all. It's actually insulting to us the members and supporters that we get absolutely nothing.

Post the 2014 preliminary final loss we had Ken doing interviews in the media and what not, this time he didn't answer a single question post game, he avoided it like the plague to even attempt to face up to it.

Now we're all sitting here angry, frustrated and disappointed and we are getting zero out of the club at all. Voss did a couple of interviews and other players did their media commitments but nothing to us is absolutely shocking in my eyes.

That may sound entitled or whatever, but to treat us like Koch does and say we need to settle down blah blah is a utter load of rubbish, and fills me with no confidence at all that we can go one better next year.

Hinkley and co can't avoid what happened Saturday night, it needs to be addressed as a club, and only then can move forward.

Its for that reason I have no faith we will go a step or two further next year, it doesn't seem that the coach and the clubs leadership are capable of addressing what happened Saturday night, and until they do we won't move forward. Most of us were around post the 2007 GF when the club avoided what happened that day, and saw what avoiding that elephant in the room did, and it feels like we're back in that spot again.

That was giving me an aneurysm. It’s like, read the room. Dollars over dignity.

It was like that Hamish Hartlett grin at the start was tearing through your soul.

I sent Richo a complimentary email around the Prison Bars campaign and offering any help I could provide. I'm still waiting for an answer.

At least KT palmed off a similar email from me to Rhode (which then fell off the agenda because of JMac's death).

I'd write one if I thought it would get read or even taken notice off. Unfortunately it's safe to assume each and everyone of your emails is being written off and just an upset pleb with no idea. If I were to write one it'd be pointing out the business side of it, if he just took a step back on what logic does he think that going again next year with Ken actually makes any sense at all, the conclusion is obvious. If you had an underperforming account manager who was close to losing a tier 1 asset after 9 years of not delivering would you go I'll just want and see how he goes next year with some new assistants around him, no you'd sack him before you caused more damage etc etc.

Prove it. Write one. Point out the business side of it, as you say. That would be very helpful.

Do nothing, nothing happens. Don’t ask, don’t get.

My understanding is that it is the task of the CEO / Membership (Steve Shirley / Leonie Way) to compile a file of emails at such a time for submission to the Board - the most constructive, readable, knowledgeable on top of the pile.

Go on. Make a contribution. Or not.

Sorry to hear that, especially as I advised you to send the email.

If you were to send a chaser, Richo would fall off his chair. It would be the only email he’d get this week not about Hinkley, Koch, et al.

My advice, still, is to keep at it.

As your offer to the Club concerns legal aspects of the Bars case, perhaps Arsene Wenger could act as middleman ?

Cut through all the bullshit, I would like the powers that be asked what is a fair and reasonable time for a coach to at least make a grand final. Forgetting what club it is and what sort of expectations the fans have.

I just don’t understand how this is even possible. After all the hard yards, playing, training, travelling all year, why would you take your foot off the gas when you’re so close to your goal? Wouldn’t you practically kill yourself to reach it at that point?

Or am I overestimating their desire for a flag? Do some of our players just not actually want it that much? Or is it that they fear failure more and are too scared to put themselves out there on the biggest stage? Did they see Melbourne dismember Geelong and subconsciously think they’d rather not be on the end of that in a GF?

I dunno maybe I’m way off, but I don’t have a alternative theory that makes any more sense.

I think it's becoming clear that something happened before the game that put a significant number of players in a negative mindset.

Hinkley spoke?
"Youse all know it's a tough competition and someone has to lose so get out there and give it a crack but don't go too hard as you want to be right for the Grand Final'

Great write up Tribey full of facts and articulately written, a very sharp knife into the failing mentality of this club. Thankyou!
