Bucky’s undone a lot of Tredrea’s good work with that stupid statement.
Anyone, player, champion of the club, Joe Blogs, that crosses that divide is lost to me. As much as I love Bucky and will never forget the left foot checkside goal he kicked in the '77 grand final, that opinion is not in line with the ethos of the PAFC Est 1870 as it once was.

To me the club was always sticking up the man, had our way, and proved over and over again that we didn't have to conform.

First with the stereotypes in SA, then the SANFL and finally the AFL.

To me that was our brand, there's a whole market around it.

Now we have a chairman who made his money and brand representing the man, now thinks he is the man. Problem has moved beyond Kenny, it has always been Mr Compound Interest.
Mr Compound Interest. Hilarious.

"We aren't going to be in grand finals every second year like we were in the SNAFL" - Brian Cunningham

FFS Brian. No one is expecting to make a Grand Final every second year. In Donuts' eleven seasons we haven't made a single Grand Final. Expecting one in eleven is very different to expecting five or six in eleven.

Collingwood plays in one like every 4 years? Is that too much as well?

Considering Hinkley gets judged on home and away wins, explain this Koch, we are sitting home watching Carlton play off for a spot in a GF, a side that has averaged 13th at the end of the home & away games over the last 10 years.

Also note the improved finish in Hinkley's contract years.

2014 Port 5th Carlton 13th
2015 Port 9th Carlton 18th
2016 Port 10th Carlton 14th
2017 Port 5th Carlton 16th (Hinkley contract year.)
2018 Port 10th Carlton 18th
2019 Port 10th Carlton 16th
2020 Port 1st Carlton 11th (Hinkley contract year.)
2021 Port 2nd Carlton 13th
2022 Port 11th Carlton 9th
2023 Port 3rd Carlton 5th (Hinkley contract year.)

Odds are we finish 10th or lower next year..........but it's a tough competition.

Why is Hinkley's loser cult persona and brand so widely endorsed by people that have led successful professional lives like Bucky?

It makes zero sense to publicly back someone like this and calls into question their credibility.
Remember Koch is a media man and has many contacts and knows how to work the narrative to his advantage.

How to Work with a Square Peg, Round Hole Employee

As Managers of people, most of us have had this type of experience. There’s an employee in your organisation whose temperament, work style, or skill level does not match what you want and/or need. It creates tension and unhappiness within the team and you probably lose sleep over it at night.
Seek First to Understand

The first step in addressing this issue is to answer the following questions:
  • Why is the person not working out? What specifically are they doing or not doing that causes problems? (Lack of coaching skill.)
  • Are they aware of these issues? (No he thinks he's a genius)
  • Is this a case of ‘can’t do’ or ‘won’t do’? (Definitely can't do)
  • Can the person improve? Are they willing to? (No and No)

Lol it's no coincidence that this piece has come out after the club is copping major heat for another straight sets exit. There's no question Bucky's had a call from Koch to come out and back this crap.

PR 101
Yeah I agree and it goes to show that their intentions are to do absolutely nothing about anything.

Gutless cowards, it's not the snafull anymore but they feel out a Magpie champion and CEO of a premiership AFL team to justify their inadequate management of their senior coach.

1/3 of the league has made the grand final in the last 3 seasons alone.

Also, every club that has finished in the top 4 even once during Hinkley's reign has made at least 1 grand final.

Essendon, North, St Kilda, Carlton and the SUNS have never finished top 4 during Hinkley's reign. Hinkley has 3 times and yet still no grand finals to show for it.

He's an utter disgrace.

SUCCESSFUL YEAR IN TERMS OF WIN/LOSS

Love being deemed unreasonable or delusional as two thirds of the league — building from all manner of circumstances — gets a lick of the ice cream while we get wanked on by a literal performing clown.

Ive had a few drinks so am not thinking straight. But what if despite the repetitive mind numbing failure of the last 10 years. What if the club and happy clappers are right to back Ken in. What if we win a couple of flags in the next few years with Ken. It just seems so ludicrously unlikely. How could anyone think that. Just what the ****. How can the board of our club be such a bunch of **** sucking arse licking ****witt campaigners to make such are ****in stupid dumb**** insane decision. That is all.
