Not sure about your awareness of next years draft. It is basically ****ed. There’s going to be a lot of academy players in the top group of players and it’s a weak draft. However, there are a couple of really good players so trading our future first would be a bad move.

I thought we had to keep Bolton because he is in our 2025 calendar. That’s like $15 x 100,000 members so like $1.5m lost if we don’t keep him. Probably more as we have like a billion fans.

The problem is Reid is out of contract in 2026. they are 3-year deals now for first round draft picks.
That's holding a player for 2 years, I just say hold Bolton if we don't get the right deal.

I don't think Bolton's value really drops 1 year later, If Bolton has good year next season he could actually enhance & Fremantle have a poor year.

Trade our late picks for Brisbane's 1st rounder.

We will still have picks 1,6,14,20,24,26,32 and whatever we get for Graham.

Thats still a bloody strong hand, 4 1st rounders and the 1st pick of the 2nd round. Plus, we keep Bolton.

Agree we are still going to have a strong hand but it is a dilemma.
When you think about what Bolton brings to the team in our position, not sure.
On the one hand will do some spectacular things during the year to give supporters something to cheer about in what is going to be a difficult period.
Each premiership player we lose makes the transition harder.
But on the other hand with Tassie on the way, now is a great time to load up.
If we knew we’re getting say Hotton or Travaglia and then Berry for picks 10 and 18 would be prepared to cop it.

It's simple. Freo doesnt trade for Bolton, finishes 12th in 2025. Bolton (in contract still) plays his legs off in 2025 to teach our youngsters and get home at the end of the year Finishes 4th in the brownlow, still in contract.

Freo five us pick 7 and a future first for 2026.

yep dont know much about it tbh. who are the top picks is it dyson sharp/ludowyke? for me i really want a fos/lalor pair so i guess it comes down to lalor vs those two. still think dees first will be a very good pick next year so we could still get a top end player, but its a risk if they improve.

if they do that Richmond then demands #10+#18 + melbournes F1
