He threw the first punch I'm just giving one back and to be frank it is a shite pod. Its immature, amateur and not particularly informative.

I know he has done a lot of work on it buts its got a long way to go still. It comes across as a bunch of nuff nuff Tigers supporter's in a circle jerk.

1. Drop the zoom format and do it as a pure podcast. I don't need to see what T71 looks like
2. Have a maximum of 3 people including yourself each week.
3. Decide what the pod stands for and what its trying to achieve.
4. Get some special guests on.
5. Have a set agenda for the home and away that listeners can relate to.
I like it just how it is, I actually find them to be good value and they dont take themselves too seriously. I suggest doing your own if you want to put your money where your mouth is. Hate asking this as it will come off like a cheap shot, but are you really a Richmond fan or just a troll account? Seriously.

We also have the likes of a few young role players that maybe one might be part of a potential Taz/Hopper deal but we will still have a couple of them in Mansell, Raplthsmith and Stack

Post this news the biggest hole in our list going forward would be another KPF but we also have Sampson who has some fantastic attributes with our midfield locked down for the long term with Sonsie, Ross, Hopper and Taranto we now have plenty of time to work out the rest
Then there's Baker and Short. Our glaring weakness has always been midfield, hence moving Baker and Short there.

What’s all the equalisation rubbish ?

All the other 17 clubs could have done this as well

We have hardly done a trade in recent years & now it’s not fair because of good list management

Did anyone sook when the saints brought in 5 players a couple of years ago ?

does anyone think the afl is gonna bring in a rule to stop big successful clubs picking the franchise carcasses every year ?
Easy solution.
Delete those franchises.

Kane Cornes: the system is broken and the AFL needs to make change.

Can't make this s**t up.
Or maybe the 17 well 16, because whether we like it or not Geelong have managed to keep themselves in contention indefinitely with this strategy, so probably have smart people in their football department, other teams need to get better people in their football department, instead of having their media lackey’s cry foul whenever another team makes a smart move?

He's those types who are craving for attention.
Bit like Karen Cornes.

Can someone with twitter let the bloke know we did it in the salary cap , not some ridiculous C.O.L.A setup

I can see the AFL introducing new rules because of this. The salt runs deep and their darling scats have been gazumped.

Not overly relevant. There are a 1000 other ways moves like these backfire. Trading future picks is a risky game. 7 year deals are a really risky move. We are 2 years off COVID & people don't see the risk in committing to something for 7 years??

I am not completely opposed to getting both these guys, I just don't like the idea of being so dry with picks when we also have very obvious roster flaws such as

  • Possibly no ready made back up ruckman is Soldo is moved
  • No Key Position Forward back up with senior experience & only moderate prospects in Samson & Bauer developing
  • Backline depth still a bit unknown

In the 2 years we will be dry of bluechip draft pieces, we will go into those 3 drafts facing the task of replacing Edwards, Lambert, Cotchin, Riewoldt, Tarrant, Grimes, Martin, Prestia.

The moves we made in getting Hopper & Taranto possibly cover us for the impact both Lambert & Edwards had at peak time in our dynasty. I mean, that is a really high level for sure - but it leaves us totally bare in the future years were its now the clubs GOATS walking away. These moves are all about winning a flag in the next 2 years . If that doesn't happen tho, we could see us fall away incredibly fast & have a much longer & harsher rebuil

As mentioned, you can’t have a bob each way. I understand things can go wrong. But are you happy for us to secure TT and Hopper for the price of 3-4 x top-30 draft picks or not? The club doesn’t get to play both sides, and that’s the point. You can’t say “I’m not completely opposed to getting both these guys” … as it doesn’t work like that. You either support the trades, or you don’t. As the trades are either done, or they are not. There’s no backing out if Hopper does his ACL next year. Or our youngsters don’t come on as we’d hoped etc…

So put your stake in the ground. Are you supportive of getting TT and Hopper … yes or no? The club doesn’t get to say ‘maybe’, so supporters don’t either. So yes …. Or … no ?

Such a stupid argument

The players will be leaving either way because GWS have *ed themselves and the salary cap and have over capitalised on midfielders leaving them short of other positions on the field
What was “bad for the game” is the stupid draft concessions the AFL gave GWS which has led to this mass culling of players, which is likely to continue for a few more years yet. Teams like Richmond which were at the bottom/middle of the ladder had no access to the best players for years as they all went to GWS. Now we have salary cap space because we should have had these players in the first place, or had other guns which we were already paying for.

This Salty Salty man just can’t help himself
He really is pure Geelong
And it’s soooooo sweeet

Backline requires an influx of talent …are these really footy journos?

Balta 22
Gibcus 19
Vlastuin 28
Baker 25
Rioli 25
Short 26
Broad 29
Grimes 31
Miller 22
Tarrant 33

With development from:

Biggy 21
Brown 19
Banks 19

If there’s one area of the ground where we need zero resources it’s the backline.

And where was Barrett’s apology for saying in 50% of his Sliding Doors this year that Dusty was leaving … gutless cretins these journos.
