He's not an AFL standard player. Not by any stretch.

Perhaps. He’s just always one of our best week in week out. Gap between vfl and afl forwards is huge though so he prob just not quite at the lvl

McStay prob needs more match fitness
Ash is leading hard and being selfless with his patterns / give-offs

Smit excites me. He has a leap, is very athletic and aggressive. I think we have found one.

He’s the one to watch

I was excited with what the potential of Steene could be, but Smit is another level above, he follows up like a midfielder after contesting. Has a real appetite for the contest and to want to be involved.

Will play seniors next year for sure

If Bytel keeps getting high possession numbers he deserves another go in the seniors in the midfield.
