Is Macrae any better now than he was 3 years ago?
Unfortunately hasn’t tracked as a mid is required to.

When you look at players like Warner (pick 39…) and gulden for Sydney running around who are basically fins age, you realise the stark difference that exists. Can’t argue pick range, you either have it or you don’t.

Macrae is a good vfl mid, like sillivan. But will never match it with the best.

We’ve tried a few this year, but the quality of them just ain’t there

Warner and Gulden both have something you can't teach. speed.

Macrae and Sullivan are average at best.

No right foot gets him regularly exposed which as a backman is my concern.
But can play fwd so versatility is a plus.

Like Benny Reid? Maynard, Kiddy Coleman, Saad, Newman, there's been a few...particularly of late. He's not quick enough for a forward but he's pretty safe behind the ball and he uses it particularly well.

Saad, Newman Coleman are all smaller quicker and more evasive, and can turn out of trouble.
Maynard can kick on his right.
As a tall but less mobile back man I think Glover will unfortunately be exposed.
