Yeah, that’s what I was getting at he hasn’t played in the same team as an AFL ruck for us.

More likely to be a much more innocent and simple explanation.But if that was the case, wouldn't you think they might play Ed in either AFL or VFL, so he could be given a chance to showcase his talents, thus optimising his trade value?

Hiding his talents might be a better way to optimise his trade value...
However, clubs have moved passed the idea of avoiding picking players who are going to leave.

Doubt there’s to many spots mate. Cox will come in for Krueger. Schultz straight in. Sounds like mccreery may be ready to.
Not that I agree with it but if bytel plays ok he might come in also.

So positives of our VFL season.
Smit will be a good player in a few years, he’s impressive as a young skinny ruckman.
Sam Glover been an absolute rock down back and needed to be. He could be looked at by other teams for the rookie draft.
That’s about it.
