Luckily they’ll work it out 10 weeks in, and then give it a couple of weeks in case Smith and Laird come goodWe also have an issue where historically lessons learned have been forgotten over the offseason. Don't be surprised if Laird starts back in the middle and Smith at half back.
Just wait for Power to get thumped this weekend and old mate poster won’t be quite so chirpy and likely will disappear I imagineI find it easier to ignore.

Murphy to play instead of murphyHimmelberg to play ahead of Thilthorpe too.
Will be tricky, they'll want to pick him but it's tough when he's not on our listHimmelberg to play ahead of Thilthorpe too.
what's the opposite of a cartel? And have a look at who liked his post, no matter the content, if it’s a club positive post they’ll like it. Such deep thinkers
Rankine is an elite small forward. I'm not convinced at all that he's an elite midfielder. He's a good midfielder - but nowhere near elite in that position.Rankine going forward is our elite mid. Missed a third of the season. Soligo tired but will only get better. Rachele. Curtin, Taylor and friends AND pick 4 means we are on the way to a top 8 midfield within a couple of years
He's an elite player wherever he plays.Rankine is an elite small forward. I'm not convinced at all that he's an elite midfielder. He's a good midfielder - but nowhere near elite in that position.
He's really not. He's an elite small forward who is also a good midfielder. He's an elite player wherever he plays.
He transformed our midfield when finally thrust in there.
Hmmm.... dont watch much of us then I take itHe's really not. He's an elite small forward who is also a good midfielder.

I watch every Crows game. Not many other games, but every Crows game.Hmmm.... dont watch much of us then I take it
Based on what do you make that call? I have seen him play games where if you blurred your eyes, it could be A McLeod running through the middleI watch every Crows game. Not many other games, but every Crows game.
Rankine is a good midfielder, but he's not elite. He's not even close to elite in that position.
An elite mid is someone like Bontempelli or Neale - players who rack up big numbers in the midfield every week, and who have a huge impact on their team's success.Based on what do you make that call? I'd argue different. Its his exact traits that push him into that elite mid category and its only injury and allocated minutes that are preventing him from being as consistent as the others you mention. An elite mid is someone like Bontempelli or Neale - players who rack up big numbers in the midfield every week, and who have a huge impact on their team's success.
Rankine is mercurial, and capable of moments of sheer brilliance - no argument. But he doesn't do it consistently enough in the midfield to be considered elite in that position. Elite small forward? Absolutely. Elite midfielder? No.
You have your opinion, I have mine. I don't think either of us is going to change the other's mind.I'd argue different. ok thats cool and fair enough. agree to disagree. David King, who I rate his opinions vs many other commentators, thought Rankine was moving into a 'top 3 player in the league' when he hit his rich vein of form in the midfield mid year - unfortunately at the same time he was probably BOG and had 30 possessions against Pies at The G - when doing his hammyRankine is an elite small forward. He can play games at an elite level.ok thats cool and fair enough. agree to disagree. Next year will be telling for him
yep thats true but I think we all see the potential there. his pure talent and trajectory is better than many other highly rated (top 10 ish) 2018 draftees inc Rozee, B Smith (has flatlined in recent years), Thomas and even Butters. He can play games at an elite level.
He is yet to put together an elite season however.
The games against GWS, Collingwood and Carlton this year and Melbourne last year suggest otherwise. Why do you think King said he would be a top 3 players in the AFL in a few year after watching him play in the midfield this year.I watch every Crows game. Not many other games, but every Crows game.
