The difference between an F2 and F3 really isn’t that huge when compared to the risk of waiting for the PSD and not having him locked away

Maybe F2 isn't enough, with additions, an easier draw and an even comp, it might end up being a few spots worse than it currently looks. There's a risk with future picks which should lead to a discount against perceived value. If we get him just for a F2, we've done exceedingly well.

Apparently GWS are happy with a F2, we think it's a slight overpay and want something back, so want to send them a F3 and swap 2nd rounders.

So our offers are basically
Adelaide 2025 3rd round pick + Melbourne 2025 3rd round pick for Peatling
Or
Adelaide 2025 2nd round pick + Adelaide/Melbourne 3rd rounder for GWS 2025 2nd round pick + Peatling.

Agree, and guess he will be judged on his call. Even if he backflips I have no issue, just negotiating.

I mentioned before, surely there would be a taker for our 2 x F3's for an F2 ad we give that to GWS? There must be a good reason we are not parting with our F2 without retaining an F2 of some capacity. Still thinking its for a possible trade up on draft night with North

I would love to see us have a backbone and send him to the draft. Richmond won’t take him they won’t have list spots with all the kids, north have a stacked midfield, west coast well he just wouldn’t move to Perth.

But if we rise and they tank, that's less than a F3. They don't need to accept that risk. But they have to weigh up getting nothing just as we need to weigh up risk of not getting him at all.

Just thinking, what is to stop us front ending Peatling’s deal to buggery.
$1 m year one amortise the rest over the remainder .

As long as they can be as sure as they can he will get to us in the PSD, then I agree that we have done very well as we have only spent really our 2nd this year as we pushed our pick 42 into next year and we would bring in 3 quality players.

Can’t we just give the F2 and then trade the 2 future thirds in the next couple of weeks for a future second. There are weeks where you can trade for picks still before draft night
