Mccrae needs to learn how to tighten up a game before it blows out. It's happened too many times this year where teams start getting a run on against us and we do nothing to respond until it's too late.

Our stoppage system is atrocious and we front run like crazy so as soon as there's a turn over we get chopped badly.

Our physicality is seriously lacking too. For a coach that played in a team that bullied others I'm pretty disappointed that he hasn't drilled some of that grunt into the players.

It's gonna be a reallllly long year..

He plays well - well, not brilliantly - at VFL level.

why play him at all if you going to play him as a forward, whatever you think of his ability, or lack of it, he has not shown any forward craft in the last few years, he doesn’t play there at VFL level, so why select him to play there at AFL level
its bad selection

Sure we need KPF's, but we so need 3 AFL level midfielders its not funny.
Close to the worst performing midfield in the comp, so many things to get right.
The insipid opening totally unacceptable.
A truck load to get right before we contend.

I'd take a good coach for the Mids before I got the Mids. Rubbish in there for years under Bucks, now under Fly and without Grundy and we are still uber aggressive and they win first possession and walk out the front door. Hard to watch us make other teams look so good. Will be interesting to see how "brilliant" Richmond are tomorrow against Hawthorn, and then next week how "brilliant" WB are against the Suns. Not very is my guess.

Not trying to romance the past but at times like tonight I wish Malthouse was still at the helm. McRae comes across as too much of a nice guy

I‘m on your side! 😊 I can’t explain it except that they hope one day he might take that next step.

Well I was Right when I said before the Game we would get Flogged.

Last 2 Rounds we been the worst team in the AFL.

I did not get too angry I just did not care after Qtr Time

Henry will learn. Even the best forwards have dirty days.
They were due. Great team.
Liked McCrae. Mc Creery needs a spell and bring in a kid.
Miss our senior players for now.

The good

  • Noble. Again.
  • A lot of exposure and learning opportunities for our young players. Macrae, Poulter. Begg, McCreery, Henry, N.Daicos. They’ll all be better for that.
  • Kept our pressure up despite being smashed.

The bad

  • The loss
  • Mihocek‘s handballing
  • General connection between our players
  • Henry’s confidence. He’s young, super important to work on him avoiding being a ‘confidence player’.
  • Goal Kicking
  • We need our tackles to stick better.

The ugly

  • Playing a home game at Etihad against the Bulldogs. Seriously WTF?!?
  • Smashed in the clearances. Yet, yet, yet again
  • Madgen’s injury

A very bleak night. We were totally outclassed by the bulldogs midfield. They destroyed us around the contest and we had no answers.

It’s going to take a few years to rebuild this list but with so many holes to plug it will require some luck with drafting.

I liked what I saw from Ollie Henry. Needs to just play and play to build his confidence.

We have a long tail of players who aren’t much good and don’t project to being much.

You liked what you saw from Henry? You have low expectations.Compare his game to the second game of the young Sudanese bloke in the Dog's forward line. Poise, class and quality finishing.
