No thought Soldo did well where we got smashed was when for about 15 minutes in the last he was on the bench WHY I don’t know can only assume he was injured
Then you have to ask why sub Miller when Grimes was probably having his worst game ever

Soldo being on the bench when they got the run started was just bizarre (unless injured) but in the third Gawn did start to monster Soldo and started to impact around the ground far more than the large moustached man could. Maybe if we had Nank in he would of offered enough around the ground. If anything he could of done a clumsy tackle on Gawn.

soldo as actually good for most of the game…couldn’t sustain it for the whole match

i prefer Soldo over Nank

Were you at the game? Gawn had 23 possessions in the second half … let that sink in .. a ruckman had 23 touches in a half as Soldo’s direct opponent. Soldo was pretty good with his own performance … but overall Gawn was the difference in this match.

Let Nank have the rest of the year off and let Soldo and Ryan ruck. Ryan should come in for Miller who was disappointing. Pickett out, Graham out, Grimes out as well as Miller. Ryan, Cumberland and maybe Bauer if fit. Can also bring in Brown if fit.
I reckon Broad was decent today and matched up well on Petracca at times. Cotchin should also have a rest and come back in for the last game.

Mini lost the tactics battle. Grimes should have been subbed. We kept kicking it to their interceptors. It was nauseating. Balta played terribly and he should have pushed him forward earlier. He now needs to be brave in selection and select the best 22 players on our list. That list does not include Grimes.

Not Cotch or Jack but do they have the balls to drop these guys

Played great in the first half...
In the second Melbourne took control and executed a more controlled style, stopping our ability to turn it over and ultimately killed our chaos game and run. GG to them.
Our midfield couldn't go with them and the back line made too many errors gifting them goals and confidence and they ran away with the game.
Can't afford another loss now.

Thanks Hipster I just finished watching the second half as i had a function on. Now if we recall our first outing against Melbourne they subbed him out in that game and put Balta in the ruck. Gawn goes ape shit and our BL crumbles. They run over the top of us. Minibus just proved to all of us today he's a Dimma clone as he made the same sub and move. Absolutely no plan b or any imagination. Can't have him coaching the RFC in 24 and beyond. I've seen enough.

I was at the game and thought the first 3qrts were fine. We held our own and positioned ourselves to challenge. I don’t really get those (most) bagging mini for subbing Millar, not like he’d done that much. Also I think the Balta move was worth a go, those irate who have the benefit of hindsight; …ok.Maybe put your handup for the vacant position. Also, so Grimes goes out, so who comes in???? He holds his spot IMO. Today’s lesson will be good for the likes of Banks, Ross, Coulthard, Young.

Sometimes hard decisions need to be made Grimes has been great but his season this year has been diabolical has to be rested and given a final game with Cotch and Jack
