Demons were only one free kick up at half time. We were one point up at half time. Then all the umpiring decisions started going Melbournes way. You can say that the umpiring did not effect the result but it eventually broke the spirit of the team in the second half. The players looked demoralised at the end.

Gale is the AFL's lap dog, I have said it for years. I'm always going to be grateful for what Gale did dot the club but it's extremely obvious that Gale will never say anything detremental towards the AFL Cabal. It gives me the shits that he is so tight lipped while we are all seeing the cheating unfold before us. If we wait for Gale to stand up and grow a set of balls the club will be on it's knees.

re. coaching. I might be in the minority here but what evidence does anyone have that Adam with an e can actually coach? he seems like a nice bloke but can he coach at this level? yes we have loads of injuroes but we have to fight through this... playing players out of position, lack of game day coaching, poor team selection all would suggest to me that he is struggling.we are a bloody shambles atm. I still see us bombing long inside 50. wtf. next year cannot come quick enough...

yup - I think the below is very telling. It is really only in the past few years with an entirely new administration that Cartlons transgressions have been forgotten. & I don't think EFC are exactly a favourite son yet (but they can likely get in line for preferred premier after Carlton salute in the next few seasons)

Yeah i lived through the whole Carlton thing at the time it happened as my father was a massive Carlton fan & I had a membership to both Tiges and Carlton, as i still would go to the footy with him,.

Carlton 95 - 2007 would be an incredible doco piece. It really had it all. Seeing that team go from one of the most impressive Flag winners of the decade, they won every game except 2, both to the bottom 2 teams in consecutive weeks.

The won every game by 4-goals or more, except for 3 under 10. The won the Prelim & the GF by 10 goals. They were a beast of a team. A "classic" great team IMO.

Its the latter years though where it gets interesting. When Elliott challenged the AFL over Optus Oval, refused to back down. One of the biggest "what ifs" of the entire competition for me is ... what if that tip-rat O'Reily didn't dog out the extra payment situation and the AFL & Carlton went to court over the Princess Park issue? The cap breach blew it all up - but if it went to court, which it surely would have - how would have that changed the power structure of the AFL?

That's why he is playing, my concern is when Yze said he hopes he can do it for a few years, I hope that is a ruse because our great man Dusty needs enjoy his last season and let us fans thank him for everything he has given us.
He deserves to go out while still contributing, would be selfish to ask him to go again watch him get slower for the sake of it.

Even in the first half, there were pushes in the back, throws, dives, and holding the balls that they weren’t penalised for and I thought, with even ‘luck’, we could have been a goal or two up; not that it ultimately mattered
