Many people did not know about AFL Membership a while ago.
Me, wife and 3 kids have been member for 16 years..
All of us got Gold in 7 years because there were not many in front of us at the time.
Unfortunately it's around 15 year wait list for gold now.
Even with silver it's just as good...
I agree that everyone has different preferences.
I like N19 which is on the wing.
My wife and kids want to sit next to the fence, I don't.
I don't have a problem with Q either as long as it is not right up the top.
I'm more than happy for you to call me "not a proper club member".
I bought 5 Grand Final tickets on the wing under cover ground level for $850 for the whole family.
What did being a proper club member get you ?
I think it is disgusting that Legends and Club 5 Members can get rubbish tickets.
If you pay that much, you should be receiving the best available.
Instead, the corporates get the best seats and they don't even care about the game.
I am an AFL Member because I know that I will get seats on the...
Some mates of mine did the same in 2011 GF.
The funny thing is one was a current cop at the time and the other was a former cop. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:
The former cops got his brother in who is a school Principal. :sunglasses::sunglasses::sunglasses:
The GF seems to corrupt the...
Ran into Steele Sidebottom last week, Thursday b4 the Grand Final at the MCG Football Festival.
I just said Steele and he came up to me and shook hands and had a brief chat.
Got a photo of him with my daughter. Didn't want to keep him too long. Awesome bloke.
Me and family used to run into...
I went to the GF on a legitimate ticket (AFL Gold Membership).
However, a friend of mine snuck in.
He called me before the game and asked me if I was at the G.
Told me how he intended to get in & I was not going to participate in the scam.
I get inside later on and find him in the TAB...
I liked the hit he gave Stringer.
Beautiful knee into his hip & back.
That would have hurt.
Bit of a pay back for what Stringer did to Toovey last year.
He wasn't great, but let him play a few games to see if he gets better.
Would love him to give Riewoldt the same knee he gave Stringer.
Look who is giving a plug to Via Gogo.
Seriously, he should be ashamed of himself.
That is a scam site. I think they were charging $50 for a transaction fee.
Your friend could have just walked up I reckon on the night.
I don't think it will be a super huge crowd.
The Bulldogs supporters only...
I am an AFL Member.
A guest pass is around $54 at MCG and $50 at Etihad.
I suppose the AFL presume that the seats are premium seats in AFL Members section and charge accordingly. That is the only explanation.
It is a bit steep I agree.
He was at a Funeral on the Friday before the Fremantle game.
I'm surprised he even played.
His aunt died and he was one of the coffin bearers.
Don't think he was in a good frame of mind v Freo.
A friend of mine was at the funeral.
I was savaged here by some about AFL Membership.
I bought 5 tickets for the ANZAC day game.
Adult & concession upgrade is $9 and child is $3.90.
With booking fee I paid around $37 for 5 tickets M18 Row K.
This is not a bragging post either which I will get accused off.
Quicky This is your best bet mate.
Scalpers on eBay will charge you much more than this.
It's only $150, you're a member and you can go to 2 other games.
Plus you get the membership pack.
Don't buy from scalpers.
Just call the club and ask for 2 memberships with seats on ANZAC day next to each...
I didn't really pay to much attention to his body size.
I didn't realize that it was a talking point because he has been in rehab as far as I know.
Just saw a group of players and noticed that he was one of them.
All I can say is that he seemed OK and happy.
I saw him at the game on Thursday night with a couple of other players.
Seemed normal and happy to me.
Won't bother reading what has been said about him here.
No way would I give my full memberships up.
I remember listening to a conversation on radio between Eddie and a supporter.
I don't know what the supporter was complaining about.
Eddie replied: That's why I am President and you are just a supporter.
Yeah - well that's why I am an AFL Member and...
I watched the first game Daicos played and went to most of his games in the 1980's.
Know exactly how good he was.
I was surprised he would come out and say the kid was more advanced than him at same period.
Lucky the other clubs did not pay attention to the tyre pumping.
Although one of the so...
His old man did say he thought he was more advanced than him at the same stage of their careers.
Gary Abblet Jr. didn't look anything special when he started.
Josh could be a huge surprise packet.
The younger one is even better apparently.
I think most gambling agencies for some reason are registered in the NT.
No idea why though.
Just like all pr0n distributors are in NT or ACT.
Something to do with laws and regulations.
The whole board is made of Super Rich pricks.
All they think is about making money - no matter what consequences.
I highly doubt any of them have an idea how normal people live.
They got the idea from UK from what I read somewhere.
They will probably rig the draw somehow.o_Oo_Oo_O
Can't say you are wrong, but he does have ability.
He is not a plodder.
Barracking for the Pies as a kid might give him motivation.
I have a soft spot for him because he went to same High School as I did 35 of so years ago. ;););)
I've given all my excess caps away to friends who support the club but aren't members.
Like you said, the cap is not the point. It's the principle.
We are either members or we aren't.
After we won the 2010 GF - the club became greedy and a basket case.
As shown by the on-field performance.
BTW...
Mate, other clubs give the same members packs to AFL Members as they do to club members.
At all games last year, the "real members" in the Ponsford Stand did not show up.
AFL Members area was always full.
If we aren't "actual members", then we should not be in the clubs official membership...
