Hang on, didn't you recently say your mate has just become a player manager and this is the first time you have had ITK info. Now you are saying you know people on the board as well and you have 'sources'?
I appreciate the posts, but I'm confused
I'm hoping they do play finals and they are still a fair chance. 4 of those games are against bottom 8 sides and all but the last are in Melbourne. But we should embrace this. Making the 8 will:
1. Give their supporters false hope
2. Push their draft picks back in one of the few uncompromised...
Spot on '4in5'
Last time we played them, they were unbeaten and on top of the ladder. But they hadn't played a single team now in the 8 at that point. The Lions and Bulldogs were probably their best wins at the time. Those teams are in good form now, but they were a long way off the pace...
On reflection I am less concerned about the differing opinions and more concerned that one of them recommended a second spinal surgery. It would not have been recommended lightly. I hope Red_man2008's mail is wrong on this occasion.
Unless I am mistaken, the only person able to provide advice on back surgery is a neurosurgeon. To my knowledge, we don't have one on staff. So how is the club responsible for two external surgeons having a different opinion?
Good to hear his back is heaps better by the way, but given this...
Don't know much about Gianfagna, except that he didn't play a senior game for the Dees, and went on to captain the Northern Blues. Does that even things out?
Good point KB. Certainly appropriate to warn fellow posters.
A big shout out to those willing to trust and help out a fellow Blue Bagger (even someone like me with a stupid name who doesn't post here often)
jimsta10 absolutely made my day yesterday and brought some joy to my son who has had a...
I like your thinking. Begs the question - who gives Tom a chop out? I wonder if Acres could play the JSOS role? Almost identical height and weight. Doesn't shirk a contest either.
They well and truly put the whistle away in that game. Plenty of free kicks missed, for both sides. Good experience for our boys leading into finals I reckon.
The last 2 weeks Martin has been subbed out at 3 qtr time, and had no more than 8 possessions. I want him to do well, but all he has ever done is tease us with his potential. We need to move past him.
Getting sick of people saying 'the list isn't that good'.
The talent is there. When I am at the ground, I am seeing effort.
It's the gameplan. It is not working and it is sapping our players of confidence. They are constantly outnumbered, under pressure and confused. It makes them look slow...
Just to clarify....
1. My osteopath didn't treat Honey
2. He didn't say the info came from Honey's osteo
Not surprising that a positive story like this has spread to others in the osteo community. Players talk. The club may be mentioning it to osteo's they are trying to recruit. Who knows...
Spoke to my osteopath the other day, who works for another AFL club.
Said our club has opened up a spot for one. Reckons Honey had some sort of procedure on his hip which was designed to give his knee some relief. I didn't understand the technical lingo, but it was something like that. Said he...
Ability is not the issue. H can kick them along the ground, around the corner, on the run, checkside, from outside 50... Has all the skills, it's a mental thing.
Fev was on the money about keeping the ball still though. That's the key to consistency. All the greats had it.
Reckon Owies and...
I couldn't resist. Here it is (asked it to mention Cripps and the Lions game on Friday):
Let me spin you a story, of the Carlton Blues, As they face the Lions, with nothing to lose.
On Friday they'll play, with all their might, Ready to take on the Lions, with all their flight.
Their captain...
McKay is slower than who? Charlie? I'm not sure about that. Big H is pretty quick when he get's his skates on.
Telstra tracker Top Speeds 2023:
HMc 33.9km/h Round 1
CC 33.1km/h Round 3 & 6
Hint: That's your CC not ours ;)
Agree with this. Jack Welch, arguably one of the most successful leaders of all time, sacked the bottom 10% of the employees in his team every year. He did that right through his career. Obviously it made the poorer performers work harder, but he felt it actually had a greater impact on the top...
If true, why not play him tomorrow and then rest him next week if he doesn't get up. Seems a bit cute to leave a star player on the sidelines when they have been cleared to play. Whatever happened to 'one week at a time'?
Wow, there would be close to 1,000 unsold tickets available to all comers via that link. Great tip Aph.
So what's the deal with the secret link?
Nothing worse than seeing empty seats at the ground when supporters who want to go, can't buy tickets.
If it's anything like last year, they will release a couple of rows of tickets each day. They will promptly sell out and then you'll have to wait until until more are released the next day. It feels like the operators are deliberately trying to put people off and prevent a sell out. Would love...
That shouldn't come into it. If he has priors, it could be the difference between a fine and a suspension next time around. I imagine this is why the club fought the TDK fine.
If we turn up like we did yesterday, North will be in big trouble.
I know yesterday was frustrating, but we put 29 scoring shots on the board, in the wet, away from home, on a ground with more divots than a polo field.
To put that into perspective, out of 24 games played so far this year...
He spent a bit of time out wide, unmanned on the fat side wing, which you may have missed on the TV.
Cats and Tigers defended well through the middle of the ground, and we didn't switch very often, so there weren't many opportunities for him.
You can see an example in the highlights when he...
