The player list on PAFC site no longer includes McCarthy or Salopek.

But I can't find any news item about this plus it isn't noted on the AFL site

Strange, I thought we'd make a fuss about JMac coming off the list.

Did we need a decision by Jacobs by now or is that not relevant for first list lodgement?

Interesting to note that the dogs delisted matthew panos.
He was reasonably rated as a late pick. Some were surprised we didn't pick him up.

He was a shit KPP in a draft with next to no good KPP's after the first round, that's why he was rated.

This is very hazy memory might I add, but I'm fairly certain there were no decent KPP's around for our pick 16 so people just assumed we'd take him as a replacement for Tredrea.

I don't think we are allowed to delist Jacobs because we are offering him a contract. It depends on whether he nominates for the draft. If Jacobs is going, it would be better if he was delisted because then we could go shopping for a delisted free agent. So, no list changes today?

If they delisted Jacobs today any club could pick him up as a free agent. Not sure of the actual dates but on November 13 he can nominate for one of the drafts if he has decided not to stay at Port Adelaide. Their is a final list lodgement on November 15. (as I said dont quote me on the dates but that is the process)

November 28, 5pm – Second AFL Delisted Player Free Agency Period ends.
November 29, 2pm – List Lodgement Three.
December 4, 2pm – Delisted Player Nomination Deadline.
December 4 - Deadline for GWS Giants to pre-list balance of any previously listed or previously nominated for draft players under List Establishment rules.
December 11, 11am – NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.
December 11, 11.05am – Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast Suns, GWS Giants and Sydney Swans Eligible Pre-Selected Rookies.
December 11, 11.10am – NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

Has Pfeiffer actually signed his new Rookie List contract yet?

Last I saw it was going to happen, but haven't heard that it actually has happened.

Can't say for sure. The club announced he'll be kept as a second year rookie. It'll probably be clearer after LL2

Is looking to make some big changes this year to his game style, want's to be even harder.

Thats good. He started off struggling a bit, but the coaches backed him in for an extended period of time, then just as he was playing what most thought to be his best footy of the year, they dropped him! Hopefully he can push his case again next year, I can't ever see him being a star, but we are crying out for consistent midfielders and if other more talented players won't meet the consistancy criteria, then he will be right there to take their spot.

This is what I don't like about the draft period... you can't trade onto your rookie list. Neade comes across as an 18yr old straight onto the main list. Won't play a senior game next year. But phiffier will play more then a few and is stuck as a rookie

Isnt there talk of doing away with the rookie list and just increasing the list size?
