18 is crazy. If people think Bruce isn't worth a first round pick, Howard is a worse player and lower profile. They can want 10 firsts but he's worth a pick in the late 20s at best.

Just curious, what if we went to Port and the bulldogs and tried to facilitate a three way (not one involving Bonar) with some picks thrown in? Might be the only way to satisfy everyone since pick 32 is not enough for Bruce but Pick 13 is too much.

Don’t forget that the AFL, in all their infinite wisdom, are still floating whether or not to have another trade period before round 1... hopefully teams won’t be holding back for that one.

I don’t mind the mid season draft, think it’s a reasonable idea. I don’t think we need another trade period.
