My thoughts exactly. Hope it’s correct!

Yeah, it'd be fantastic for us. That would mean our trade period overall would be:

IN: Hill, Howard, Ryder
OUT: 6, future second

That would be a great result considering our original offer for Hill was 6 and the future second!

nup ... my money is on they are waiting for maximum exposure for the announcment ... will come once WA wake up and get their day started ... all clubs will want the maximum exposure of it across the country
Well wake them up...make some noise.

I assume that worst case we use 12 (or get 10) and a future 1st with potentially something back.

I would be annoyed with that as Lethers has said we haven’t used future first, and also I think that it’s overs. But I’ve accepted this as a possibility and that we get the contracted player we chased.

But my fingers are crossed that it’s 12 (or 10) and something smaller than a 1st as we have all been discussing.

Latest reporting states “Freo will have a multiple 20’s picks”. They already have one so I assume they are getting pick 29 from Port in the deal.

IMO Longy's kicking style is susceptible. He drops the ball with two hands when kicking a drop punt so it is a slow technique. He seems to be better roosting it than directing it. I love Longy. Campaigner. However his lack of possessions and kicking style may be the reason he is being talked about as a trade.
Possible this is true my fellow concerned supporter however, is this not the reason the Saints recruited a particular chap from Hawthorn who was touted as the man who changed their game style, skill level etc.
Times are changing and I think issues such as you have presented will become opportunities.

Gee thanks for that , the point was we need to worry about getting the blokes who are going to make us a better team and a chance at finals in years to come , not a bloke that may or may not ever play for us again , you want to keep Stuv if he plays 3 games next year again do you ?
We all love the bloke but sometimes you just need to let it go
We can worry about more than one thing at once.

if it’s pick 57 I’d certainly prefer three games out of him for the year. Chances are Pick 57 will end up being nothing, not even three games worthy of a four time best and fairest winner.

There’s certainly the potential that Freo get their 2 firsts without us trading next year’s.

Several clubs involved so pick and player swaps may result in Freo getting 2 firsts, us not overpaying and all clubs being happy.

Sam Fisher was a pick 55 odd. Maybe the next Plugger could be at pick 57. You can never discount it.

I’d find it strange that Lethers would be so adamant that our 2020 1st will not be involved, then cough it up. Backing Satan on this
Me too

In Satan we trust

Why do you guys call him Satan btw?

This would be my favorite scenario, if we could pull it off, Freo board will not be happy.

We better be getting something good back in this deal.

In no scenario is Brad Hill worth two top 10 picks.
He won't be getting two top ten picks IMO - He'll get 10 and whatever and Port will get 12 and 18
