Same bloke that said we should take 12 & 18 to the draft that he has no idea about.

I'd believe him.
what is up your arse George? I said take 12 and 18 to the Draft and pick the best available. Since you are the great Know it All, how about you tell me who will be taken at 12 and 18?

Find the Carlton are great still baffling to be honest all hype .

Who is the replacement for Simpson ( they don’t have one )
Who is the replacement developing ruckman for Kreuzer ...( and don’t say the bloke from Hawthorn )
Their list management has been all over the shop , recruiting off cuts from the Giants and other clubs .

By the way I think the Saints might have been missing a few players last year.

I hope so, my brother is a Blues supporter, the only thing that makes me cope with being shit, is them being shitter.

Give it a break .. if Gresham plays as many games as Betts has had then look at it.
Really over the negative , listen to Hill excited to be at StKilda , listen to Howard really excited to be at
StKilda , listen to Jones really excited to be at StKilda , aren’t there yet, but confident additions on field
& off field are significant improvements going forward.

I get you're over the negative but unfortunately it's all hype for us and Carlton until there is a rise in performance. If we were a racehorse we would be crazy to back us on past form. I think the new guys might make a psychological boost and we should be up beat but there is enough poor past form for people to be weary of excessive hope as well.

Our performance did improve last year. We went from 4 wins to 9, with a pretty bad injury run.

We might just do a Brisbane next year. We need luck on the injury front but just chucking in 4 new mature players in Hill, Jones, Howard and Butler will be massive. Get a fit Hanners, Carlisle and Roberton going and that is 7 new players basically. Plus the kids like Battle, Clark, Marshall and Coffield will have matured more. Even a second AFL pre season for Wilkie, Hind, Parker will get them to new levels.

New game plan. New coaches. New feel.

Things are looking up guys.

Add steven wanting to leave last season. 2 first round picks plus butchered. Well we got pick 58 so we cant complain.

Cho is scott watters on steriods.

Everything he touches turn to poo.
Yet you would have said the same thing if we traded Jack Steven with 2 years on his contact after winning his 4th best and fairest with the club in disarray and him being our only recognised A grade player.

The question isn't who will go at 12 and 18 it's who would you take. Since you are complaining about using those picks to secure trades.

So according to Knightmare that would see us picking Fischer McAsey (untried 195 cm defender) and Jeremy Sharp (untried wingman) instead of getting Dougal Howard and Brad Hill.

Move on - right decisions were made - trade effort = A+.

Looks like a lot of effort was spent holding onto 1st rounder for next year which makes me think there is something else is brewing.

Looking back on that now, one would have to say that the club wasn't really in the disarray that that was perceived externally.

Although it would have been a shocking look after that season, you could be left to wonder just what could have been done with the benefits from trading Stuv at full value. Perhaps Ben King??

I can't help but believe that Richo wasn't in our long term plans by that point, so it's interesting that Lethers didn't activate the opportunity to move on the list at that point.
He probably had enough to deal with l suppose..

Paddy will be delisted this year apparently to focus on getting better.

Club and player mutual agreement, will be paid out in full, still welcome at the club to use the facilities, potential for him to be re-listed for 2021.

Poor bugger. But I have to think it's probably the best decision. Hopefully he can recover fully in time.

Can't help but feel this is the right decision for both parties. Paddy's health must come first.

Or everyone at the club didnt think it was in our best interest to trade our contracted and best player last offseason, hence why it didnt happen. Not sure why you are framing it was a "Richo is incompenent" scenario.

Sure, using hindsight shows we would have got more in a trade but looking back at here we were this time last year, Jack Steven was worth more to the club than anyone and trading him would have put the place into a meltdown with fans already on the edge of deserting the club.

membership impact likely a bigger factor than richo

fu** me a pick 1 about to hit his prime delisted. If anyone else responsible for drafting him is still at the club they need to go
stupid list management team not having a time machine to correctly forecast a bunch of concussions stopping Paddy, industry rated in the top 2 picks from that year, from fulfilling the desirable career of a pick 1.

What a dumb comment from you.

Not sure it had on his draft profile "likley to cop multiple concussions and never get any continuity in his game before being unable to live a normal life and ultimately be unable to continue in footy"

I reckon if it did we would have steered clear
