It would definitely make the forward line strong. It comes down to money and trade value though. You don't want to sell your future away for a good story. Carlton did that with Judd.
That's for sure, but to my mind at least it's a maximum cost of $750K and 2x FRDP which is reasonable and acceptable. If Bing is OOC then GC's hand can be forced and I don't think you'd see much commentary it's unfair to them.

Would we give up Sharman for King? If we didn't how would we fit them all into the team?

I guess one of the Kings could chop out in ruck , so we have King, King, Sharman, but Membrey is still only 27 too. Then there is Battle, Wood and Alison.
Would we put Membrey done back? King, King, Sharman, Higgins, Butler, Billings forward. Battle I like but where does he fit? Wood and Alison are depth players

He was a terrible user of the footy who had no tank and started to get a bit of whipping boy status mores when he wasn't in the side funny enough. He was a favourite for a long time, he's a really good character and a heart and soul type.

He's fixed both his disposal and time on ground since coming back in this year and is second in coaches votes at the Saints despite only playing about 11 games. He's probably around Brad Crouch level now and would be a great pick up for another club that needs an inside extractor. Not sure that's a Crows priority though. He could be a bit of a Greenwood or Jarred Lyons type that blossoms and embarrasses us I think.
Geez you can go overboard at times

We can use Cerra this year as a comparison point.
Not match with match, but good enough guide.

Yeah would only be a need if Crouch leaves. Could see him blossoming with a fresh start for sure.

Yeah i think your right , he will really blossom when he gets back home to SA
He has to be a first round compo pick for sure

He has been playing as an intercept spare which we have a lot of players that can play it already, Coff, Webster, Highmore, Wilkie even Joyce potentially.

It would make life hard if we have Battle, Sharman, Membrey, King, King, Snags, Kent, Wood etc all to fit in. That's a lot of middle to tall types of forwards and then there is Allison that was drafted as one as well. We probably have to cull a few at some point.

assistant coaches Aaron Hamill and Adam Skrobalak and high-performance chief Matt Hornsby leaving the club

Really, he'd give up $1 million over 4 years to play with his brother for nostalgia?

It’s a special bond which will drive people to do crazy things like fly from an island in the South Pacific to Los Angeles in the hope of reuniting.

By comparison, Carrara to Moorabbin is just a walk in the (RSEA) park

You clearly have no clue about these things and should stick to what you know about (“I’ll take Dunstan for $500 Alex )

That’s a reasonable question to ask. King will cost plenty and Gold Coast will want an exciting talent who could play a similar role along with an early draft pick.

Sharman looks like he will be a gun. And if he was in the draft he would now be a very early draft pick. He has only played 5 games, but he looks the goods and has yet to do a full pre-season. He looks like a genuine footballer and not just an athlete.

This could be the price that Gold Coast demands for Ben King. It’s not unreasonable they would demand it, and they would offer him a very enticing contract to go up there before he lays down roots with us. It may appeal to them.

Rightly or wrongly, it may be something we need to consider.

Also Sharman is 192cm , he is not going to be your Ben King type of 202 cm key forward

That’s true, but he is a forward and they will want an early draft pick as well to potentially draft or trade for one.

I’m not advocating it, just raising a scenario that might be realistic. That’s all.

Sharman would have to want to go.

I don't think it hurt guys like Rooey. He would have been around that mark.
