Not sure if he got injured but where is McAsey at?
Didn’t see him in the second half but he was poor from what I saw of him early today. Unfortunately for you guys it seems that you have a few that aren’t at SANFL standard even
He is terrible, massive bust. A bad player in bad form we can't find a position for even at SANFL level

Trading cannot just be about clearing deadwood and sorting out players wanting to go home.

Sometimes it has to be about getting value out of players you like or giving them up to get a more immediate talent in the door.

With that loaded preamble in mind - can we consider trading Tom Doedee?

Surely we look at retiring Brown and Seedsman this year. We must have plenty of wriggle room in our salary cap. Possibly McPherson also.

Pay out McAsey's contract.

Trade Crouch for a bag of beans.

There's five list spots freed up for absolutely no harm to our on-field performances.

Hang on here .
You want to delist Frampton , McAsey along with many agreeing Borlase not AFL ,and you want to trade Doedee and to top it all off you want Dawson to play midfield or fwd.
Ok who are our taller or even mid to tall backs going to be .

Parnell has also overtaken Sholl.

Sholl is tradeable and may be one who has a little bit of value.
Steady up, Sholl hasn't done a lot wrong for the type of player he is, lacks a little in the contested side of his game but he has skills in areas that we most certainly lack...wouldn't be writing him off just yet.

I said all that? Probably at some point.

All I was pondering was whether Doedee's value would help to get us another piece of the puzzle. Its just like trading stocks, you want to be the one to sell just before the cliff.

Obviously if Doedee left you'd reassess others but if Doedee is only offering what, say, a Frampton could but on more money then it is good business. I'm happy to be wrong here but wowee he is worrying this year.

Exactly, if it’s a pick 3 for him that’s ok but to lose another player on top when we are desperate for quality players isn’t smart.

Depends on the player we would have to give up. Obviously Rachele and RT would be off limits and a few others but otherwise would be good to go

And yet outside of Berry, Sholl has had arguably the best performances at AFL level and is consistently one of our better performers in the SANFL. One can only assume he is being traded as to why he isn’t playing at the moment

They can co exist.

I still have hope for Sholl.

Parnell has shown he can defend. If he can do that more, having a two way small defender is a great asset.

Hamill, Jones and Sholl in HB rotation. Parnell as our small defender

We better off going to hollands than JHF? Would he be any cheaper?
Draft brother Ollie, certainly has skills in an area we lack class, outside leaning mid with a massive tank and good skill set, probably goes mid to late 1st round. Then down the track entice brother Elijah when out of contract.

Perplexed as to why Scholl hasn’t featured more. Like Hamill well worth persisting with. Parnell may be ok too.

Unfortunately the club would see this as hurting our experience quota, which would make us uncompetitive.

No way we force retire a club legend like Luke Brown either. Probably wouldn't want to insult Crouch like that either

How do you rate Ollie at comparison time to Elijah was and is their skill base similar.
Really wanted Elijah and couldn't get over how big he was .
Watching this season a lot of mids etc around our picks from last 2 years drafts also notice how AFL body they all seem to be compared to ours.

Not really too many similarities to Elijah game style wise and not quite as solidly built.

Elijah before his ACL was pick 1 material, Ollie probably mid - late 1st round though a big end to the season could see him rise especially if he performs well in the Grand Final day Vic Metro vs Vic Country match which will decide the winner of this year's National Carnival.

Outside run with his impressive endurance and very neat skills, more an outside mid/winger at this time but has gone OK inside the contest when played in there for the Bushies

They will always ask for something good and we all hope they take Mcrouch.

Zero chance experienced players like Doods are traded out. They'll be looking to bring more in.

Crouch will be the exception since he's totally useless for us at the moment.
