With Rankine seeking a trade to crows, would something like the following be possible?

Trade Hill to NM for pick 19
Trade 2nd + future 2nd to BL for pick 15??

Trade 15 and 19 plus future 3rd to Crows for pick 5

gives Crows 2 first round picks which they would need to give to GC for Rankine as a minimum, gives us a top 5 pick

Love this footy master. Pls keep it up. These are my favourite bits about trade season on big footy. Hypothetical pick swaps over multiple years. They get me super excited after suffering the reality of another disappointing year from the saints! Would love pick 5 so I am all in this trade scenario.

The skeptic in me is that even the smartest actuarial in Australia if they were an afl tragic would be hard pressed to predict multiple trades over multi years over 18 teams.

Eventually we will get one though. Pick 6 here we come!!! I mean 5 here we come!!

Yeah, figured as much. He's a gun but you don't give them away cheap. If Clarko was up for letting him walk you imagine that he'd want a lot coming back.

Are we looking at any other tall backs? I actually think our backline is the least of our worries. A bit more quality and depth through the centre and find a way to get the forward line playing to it's strengths. Transition between lines sill looks all over the shop and the game plan sucks to watch and isn't winning us games.

Most of our issues look like coaching ones IMO.

I've wish-washed all year on this, I'm 100% now its the players, they **** up the easy stuff, fall into the safe bland boring for fear of making another mistake. the output varies qtr to qtr, love Steele but who's really driving this team playerwise, I'm sick of hearing leadership but whos standing up playerwise and challenging the group.

Shouldn’t be a problem with the talent he’s shown.
Matter of building tank and being coached on positioning.

The thing with NWM is if a club came knocking for him we'd ask for two first round picks, which they wouldn't do, so it would be dead in the water.

There is absolutely no way he will leave this trade period.

In what world would we ask for 2 first round picks? Look at the Langdon deal, nowhere near that.
Would rather him stay, but at the same time would rather trade him while we have the upper hand if he’s hell-bent on leaving.

Correct me if I'm wrong but pretty sure the stipulation on a 1st rd priority pick would be that they need to trade it similar to GC last year.

Don't see anybody else of value being linked to NM, yes we might have to pay 200-300k to get them to agree to it, but it's certainly not the most ridiculous thing

Don't need him - having King , Membery , Sharman and hopefully Jack Hayes I can't see us playing more than 3 of these guys in the forward line and that is even before thinking about Gunston.
